Ran the line there against David Webb's Bournemouth.Lincoln scored six. They had a temporary 'Mecanno' stand and players painted the changing rooms.Only place I recall Dan Leadbitter scoring for us.New stand now looks impressive.

I remember Lincoln storming away with the league in 1983 ish, early doors, Division 3 in the days before play offs..
By the end of the season they were way out of the top 3 that went up that year.
It was a similar story the season of our dramatic rise into the play offs, but we rose from no where, while they were on the decline.
The rest as they say, is history.
Lincoln have a pattern of starting off seasons like a train sometimes. There's sometimes a best or worst time to play teams. I wonder what side of the fence today will be remembered for?
... or maybe sit on it with a draw?

Anybody know how far away Lincoln is please? Just trying to work out what our chances are of getting a positive result. 178 miles from BRFC to Lincoln FC. No idea what that means on Planet Garner? Guess it depends whether we need an excuse at 4-50 this afternoon or not.

And who could ever forget the 5-3 game Was there. That was one bonkers game. Wasn't totally convinced we were safe until the 5th goal went in and we were 3 goals ahead on aggregate.

At the stage we're at and against a 'raging Imps',I'll be happy with a good effort and point.

We have played Lincoln City 43 times, winning 18 times, losing 14 times and 9 were drawn. We have won our last 3 games against them, our biggest win was 3-5 & loss was 4-0. The other two are shrouded in mystery................

I watched every home game for Cardiff that season. Dave Bennett, Jeff Hemmerman and Bob Hatton.

I watched Lincoln lose 7-2 to a much-changed Liverpool in the League Cup recently. Despite the trouncing, Lincoln looked very well organised to me and played with a lot of spirit even when losing heavily. Here's a collection of key words and phrases I've picked out from online BBC Sport reports from Lincoln's four League matches so far. Four of their nine goals have come directly (or in one case indirectly) from penalties. And another four have come from headers. Lincoln (P)review (H) v Oxford 2-0 W
new-look … exquisite cross which was nodded home…terrific football…free-kick … was powered home by the head of defender. (A) v MK Dons 1-2 W
Penalty…thumping header from cross won it for the Imps with 12 minutes left. (H) v Charlton 2-0 W
Charlton were superior in first-half…controversial penalty…saved, but… knocked it across the area… offside… rifled home….Two minutes from time, defender snuck in at the back post to powerfully head home corner. (A) v Blackpool 2-3 W
twice battle[d] from behind…cancelled out [Blackpool’s] opener from the penalty spot, scored a second penalty with six minutes left…close range with two minutes remaining…Forest loanee…impressive. (H) v Bristol Rovers 1-2 L
perfect start ended…excellent away display…dramatic start to the second half…free-kick headed home…brilliant right-wing cross was nodded home…penalty, following a rash challenge…slammed home… pushed for a leveller…hindered [by sending off]. It would be a pity not to have updated the above, for the sake of completeness.
