Very good first half from a pretty young side. Deserved half time lead.

cannot understand why this game and the others in the competetion are not being played during the daylight hours, considering the extra cost of floodlighting

Well, this game has given BG at least one insight... don't let Leahy take penalties.

Another defeat poor record losing to Walsall and Stevenage. Upson and Baldwin miss their pens Leahy, Hare and Hargreaves scored.
Leahy to blame should have scored penalty when leading one nil.

Was watching tv and turned back on the radio just after the long delay with 2 mins remaining, still 0-1 up.
The idiot Hoskins on the radio said welcome to an empty Kassam stadium, you don't say, empty i thought, why..?
Anyway he then said after Oxford scored that it was a lucky stadium for Rovers, they always win here, really..?
After the pens i thought typical Rovers, comfortably winning, miss a penalty, let in a late goal and lose on pens.

Quite a strong line up.
I am just seeing signs of Garner possibly closing the inner circle of the starting 11.
I hope so as players like Leahy, Kilgour and Upson need to play better to get back in the starting line up.
What I hope is that we now have the players who are already there play better to try and keep them out.
Not the DC situation where Lines would play Tuesday, score the winner, be man of the match and be dropped Saturday for rotation.
I don't care about the end result, but encouraging that these fringe players competed, albeit against their fringe players..
