The stats don't look too good. This millennium: The Gas: Played 11 Won 1 Lost 10. Goals For: 8 Goals Against: 27 The hopes of a Garnerball inspired victory look slim. Bookies (what do they know anyway) generally have Donnie at evens.

Donnie at evens looks a good bet. I have never bet against us, even in one of those reverse psychology things.
There is a tiny bit of me that says we might scrape something, more heart stuff that is so demoralising as its always wrong, particularly with the Gas.

An extremely difficult away fixture. BG must really be looking forward to this one, in our faces & bullied from the off unchangeable Garnerball evaporates, 3-0 is my prediction.

MK Dons got a 1-1 draw there a fortnight ago after missing a point-blank header in the last minutes.
I had a quick look at Doncaster's line-ups in that game and their 3-1 win at Charlton last week and compared with the team that scored two late goals at the Memorial Stadium earlier this year. In short, their defence is pretty much the same, but their forward players are completely different.
One thing has not changed: James Coppinger is still there! A member of the Doncaster side that beat us at the Millennium Stadium in 2007, these days he usually enters the fray around the 80th minute and then makes a telling contribution!

Being the eternal optimist I think we’ll get a positive result. But then again I’ve been saying that, or hoping that, for 50 years or more. But seriously I don’t think Doncaster have any better a team than us though they seem to like their manager! 😉 UTG!

The good football "brewing" on the training ground needs serving on the 3rd tier field of play.
Or we'll get beat.

Rovers to win with a late goal after a hard fought contest 🤭 Perfectly possible. After our two league matches we’ve looked ok in defence until the 80th minute. No reason to think we can’t do as well against a team probably not as good as the first two and then snatch a goal. Please. UTG!

Do hope Ben's talks in the Dressing room are more enthusiastic than his lugubrious pre match press conference today.Sadly Mark Little injured again and seeing a specialist.

A game I will never forget as I had a long leather coat and, by the time I took it off and got seated, we were 2 down. A very entertaining game that I believe we should have won, we were the better side as I saw it and I was stone cold sober. Another awful journey home.

I’m just more worried by the sight of our teams heads dropping after the first goal.

I’m just more worried by the sight of our teams heads dropping after the first goal. We have to start well, to be fair we have in both games but traditionally we don't against these.

The beginning of the end for BG may already of started. He'll no doubt hang around for the sack and nice cheque. Doncaster Rovers 2 Bristol Rovers 0.

This is the last game of our "difficult start". So once we have lost this game we can start afresh as see how ben garner performs as a manager. Tongue in cheek of course but i suppose its partly true.
