We may think prem is dull (maybe less so this season so far..why is this...no fans?) but weekend even more dull when only internationals

Right. I've had enough. I am not doing the Prem this weekend. Yeah, good idea, i think i will join you in a virtual pub anywhere supping on a few Thatchers Rose, Rose i hear you gasp, yes the better half got some in the other day and hey those pink lady apples do enhance the great old cider. Gas to win today...0-1, 0-2, 1-2, 1-3, 2-3, maybe a draw 0-0, 1-1 or 2-2, ok they are top played 4 won 4, so a 1, 2, 3-0 defeat is more likely.

Everton v Liverpool Either Jurgen thought 'let's get that defeat out of our system, we need to move on, who are we playing next? Oh shhh......' Or As each goal went in he thought 's**t we've got Everton next'. Either way this game will tell us more about how the champions will defend their title. After the last game I don't think they deserve to. Everton look fantastic, with their great manager, balance in defence and up top, every top team needs a crap keeper nowadays, right? Home win.
Chelsea v Soton What is Soton? I never got that. You don't call Northampton Noton. Maybe we should.. Nice little banana skin for FLC to negotiate. Saints are becoming a bit like Bournemouth and Watford were before last season, potential to win or lose any game, unfortunately not very good against the big teams.
Man City v Arsenal I can see an upset here. Only of Arsenal have a bit more belief than they did at Anfield, and only if Aubameyang actually tries. City's first home game since the Leicester defeat.
Newcastle v Man U Brucie will never have a better chance to stick one on his old team. Am I right in thinking he has never beaten them? Could be hopelessly wrong but it rings a bell. Utd will be happy with a point. Especially a clean sheet.
Sunday Sheff Utd v Fulham Don't underestimate Fulham after their last showing v Wolves.
Palace v Brighton This one crept up on me. I have 2 good friends who are fans of both. As Harry Hill said..'there's only one thing for it...' The history of this derby is well documented but is still fun to remember. There was a documentary on BT Sport called Team of the Eighties about Palace which went into a lot of detail. Alan Mullery has a lot to answer for..
Leicester v Villa After the Lord Mayor's Show and all that. I would say this is where we will really find out about Villa. The last game was a freak. The previous 2 were against fairly easy teams so this will be the acid test. Can they grind out the 0-0 or 1-0 or is it champagne football all the way?
Monday
WBA v Burnley Is this the 0-0 we have been waiting for? Maybe Sheff U v Fulham.
Leeds v Wolves A great game potentially straight out of The Big Match from 1975, loads of history, haven't played each other in the top flight for yonks. FA Cup Semi Final 73. Bremner 1-0 as David Coleman would say. Can Leeds maintain their good start, can they do a Wolves on Wolves. Similar teams playing a similar style with similar managers. 0-0...

Newcastle fans donated £20,000 to charity over the weekend in protest against the Premier League's controversial pay-per-view scheme.
The Magpies' 4-1 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday was one of several Premier League games only available live in the UK for a £14.95 fee.
It applies to the five fixtures in each round of games not televised in the UK.
The 'Charity Not PPV' campaign asked fans to donate to the city's West End food bank rather than pay to watch.

I have just seen Goal of the Season.
Everton 2 Liverpool 2 Is it just me, or was VVD on one to make amends after the Villa game? A couple of Derby Day fouls in the first minute, then gets the injury. I don't know the rules as well as some. Basically, if it wasn't offside it's a pen and possibly a red card, or can they give the red card even or yellow even if it was after the offside. You would have thought so, as if he had punched him he would have given a red. Not quite sure why no decision was ok. Then, the late winner was onside, they need to lean towards the attackers not the defenders. That was not a clear and obvious error. I would have taken 2-2 at the beginning but Liverpool should have won, although Everton hit the post and will be up there I reckon, purely because of Ancelotto.
Chelsea 3 Soton 3 Chelski won't be up there because of their defence. Or to put it more accurately, how their team defend. It's knowing when to play tippy tappy and when to put your foot through it. I'm enjoying it though. Southampton are improving back to where they were under Poch and Koeman, with Ings at the forefront of it all. They deserved a point, not 3, but did really well to come back. What was Kepa thinking of. What a brilliant dummy and turn by Werner for the first goal.
Man C 1 Arsenal 0 Good counter for the goal, good to see Foden finally getting a run in the team. Arsenal should have had a penalty, if that's outside the box it's a free kick, but like the Liverpool game, it's not VAR that's wrong, as I love it, it's the application of the law by someone. Arsenal will be happy to get those 2 away games out of the way. Aubameyang goes missing again? Great analysis on MNF if you saw it from Carragher where he showed how Cancelo was actually getting in the way of his own player's pass to Mahrez and Pep was coaching him where to stand from the side.
Newcastle 1 Man U 4 Left it a bit late, but last night's result shows this was no fluke. 28 shots and 63% possession tells it's own story, although I would say 4-1 is harsh on New-astle. Maguire answered the critics (who are correct btw) in thr best way and showed his manager's faith in him was right. De Gea should have at least dived (dove?) for their goal.
Palace 1 Brighton 1 Neither will be happy or unhappy with this result as they both hate to lose it. Brighton will be without Dunk for 3 games though. Nothing particularly memorable apart from that.
Sheff U 1 Fulham 1 I think Fulham are improving and will to Mitrovic for 2 pts dropped. What a goal by Lookman. Seem to remember him tearing Rovers to pieces a couple of years ago in a midweek game. Fulham have only conceded 2 goals in the last 2 games which is definitely an improvement, but need more up top. Sheff U look like relegation fodder. Wilder is better than this surely.
Tottenham 3 West Ham 3 Amazing. The Kane performance, his pass for the first goal, someone said he is one of the best passers in the world, in the same way Rush was, where they score so many, it's to do with accuracy, passing the ball into the net. Hits the post at 3-0, Bale misses a sitter at 3-2. Seriously though, 82 minutes and 3-0. They want shooting. Lanzini scored goal of the season, what a strike and the timing of it. Souness was right, this is a different West Ham from last season. I can see them causing a VVD-less Liverpool problems with their power up front. Spurs can still win it because of Jose.
Leicester 0 Villa 1 Enjoy it Villa fans, why not believe. Top 4? Top 6? Who knows? I was venture that the squad isn't good enough, injuries to key players will cause issues but enjoy it. Leicester without Vardy are toothless. Brendan suffering from the same problem he had at Liverpool after a good season maybe?
WBA 0 Burnley 0 It happened. The first 0-0 of the season. Surprised no one really mentioned it. Burnley had some good chances though. Ex-sheethead Wood should have scored. Some excellent goalkeeping from both. Not a bad nothing each.
Leeds 0 Wolves 1 Leeds got done by the team they aspire to be. They got mugged, but Wolves deserved it, a great goal and 2nd half performance. Leeds should have made better of their first half dominance.
Controversial weekend but Liverpool are back to some kind of normality. I just realised I didn't do the usual format. Still drunk on Rovers winning I think. Some great games this weekend and that is already going to be goal of the season for me.

Weekend Preview
With Rovers game off, whet your whistle for the Prem weekend.
Friday Villa v Leeds Not a foregone conclusion, I would have said away win had they played last season, but Villa have added quality and have won their first 4 games. Leeds looked slightly out of ideas on Monday but this is away and might suit them. Close game.
Saturday West Ham v Man City According to Souness West Ham should be top 6, we'll see after this game. Either 0-5 or 3-2. Hammers are a different concept this season as we have seen. City have Aguero back, ominously only conceded 1 goal in the league since the Leicester game, Fernandinho out for 6 weeks.
Fulham v Palace I fancy a home win, Fulham have improved and Palace have stuttered slightly since a good start.
Man U v Chelsea Who knows with these 2, can't believe it's going to be nothing each. Mendy back for Chelsea. Was 4-0 last season if you remember when Utd scored with 4 shots and Chelsea hit the woodwork 3 times at 0-0. I fancy an away win, hate them both.
Liverpool v Sheff Utd LFC will be happy to get this one next but only on current form. Don't underestimate them but I am wondering if Klopp should now go to a 3-5-2, drop Bobby and blood a young centre back in a 3 with Fabinho and Gomez. Sheff have their work cut out and don't need this game right now. Klopp must not rest players.
Sunday South of Hampton v Everton How do the Toffees bounce back from losing their 100% record? Not an easy game, but Calvert-Lewin is made for this type of game. With James in good form, I am wondering who will replace Richarlison who is starting a 3 game ban. Back Ings to score and Pickford to have a good game.
Wolves v Newcastle Both capable of winning this, but Wolves got back to normal service on Monday, both teams gave had a rest midweek. Low scoring home win I reckon.
Arsenal v Leicester I fancy a home win, but this is the kind of game where Leicester could go nuts and do as they did to City. Arsenal have a tendency to be a bit lax at the back and Leicester do have the players to exploit this. Both had decent wins last night. I don't think Ozil will play...
Monday Brighton n Hove Albion v West Bromwich Albion. The Albion derby. Seagulls v Throstles, honestly. Or Baggies. Home win should be. WBA now need to start picking up wins in these kind of games, but Brighton have lost more than i realised and need a win.
Burnley v Spurs Big away win I reckon. Burnley are looking like they will finally struggle this season. Spurs have their Galacticos and will not allow Sunday to happen again. Burnley don't do shocks if you notice. Though they did draw at Anfield last season.
Enjoy.
