with the benefit of hindsight, what was this all about?
I'm thinking it wasn't just a speech in support of the manager, and it confirmed reports from Frosty that the players were buzzing. Although it didn't transfer into results on the pitch, I'm wondering if there's something that Le Tis can pick up on etc

I think Mark Little got it wrong. The 'kettle broke down and never boiled' to make the 'brew' of "Garner ball". I got drawn into supporting Ben Garner after those 2 or 3 wins.I thought things are getting better and a minimum standard - in the short term - looks maintainable and so it's okay to go along with the longer term master plan. The minimum standard was not maintained and we were going down the 3rd tier. Imo,Mark Little got suckered into Garners pretentious miandering waffle,as did many others. Now we have Manager with a tried and tested "kettle".It's reliable.Paul Tissdale can put the kettle on and deliver us a lovely cup of football cha. |
