Hanlan from Gillingham is due to be signed by the weekend, according to Bristol Live.
Any chance he could play a game before any of you slag him off?

If he went 20 games and had been demonstrated to be hopeless would it be OK with you to comment on that?

Hopefully, will get him through the door and then I'd expect another striker in on loan to cover.

He's s***. ๐ I checked YT DrF - as I usually do - and he's quick, big and strong.Scored a nice header in his Charlton days (YT) and struck a winner for Gills v Black Cats. BG will coach him to play up front with whatshisname (on loan from Derby) I think. I imagine they'll work on his positioning and finishing and if all goes well,he'll become a 20+ a season man. Played plenty of games last season so I hope that means he keeps fit,no injury habit.

Oddly enough, that's exactly what I think about a lot of the stuff that you post. But in the round it probably helps to have different views and different ways of expressing them on here, maybe? I wouldn't want you to change, I don't think I'm capable, so here we are, like an unhappy couple who are stuck with each other.

we wanted a striker with experience at this level, now we got one
Brandon Hanlan. Does remind me of a character in the French TV series The Money Shot ('Xanadu' in the original) whose professional name was Brendon Hardon though

difficult to know how he'll work out - Payne 0/10, JCH 10/10, and with similar expectations/background on arrival
interesting times..

Good luck and welcome, Brandon..
I hope that now you've signed, BG will select a striker in the starting line up.
I'm not convinced though.

Really sorry to see drfaustus leave but if you are going to participate in an internet forum, particularly a football forum and specifically this forum, I think you need to turn your sensitivity dial down a notch.

Oh no, not Faustus? Faustus is a lovely fellow.
I think he, like me, really disliked GC. I remember his delight at BRFC's resurgent entertainment and success under DC, who I recall he said gave us our Rovers back (amen). This was when he got so positive.
I remember he was very patient with TN, and he will be so with BG. He's always wanted BRFC to get promoted by creative, passing, entertaining football play. I'm inclined to agree.
We really are a negative old herd of goats, Doctor F. This isn't always enjoyable to to you, I know. But I bet I speak for others when I say we need you back on the Guzzler. We can't all be alike, and we mustn't. Come back on here as soon as your ready, old bean. We might be moaners, but we're your moaners, Sir. Don't let me catch you looking at Gaschat.

Hardly surprising, the way this forum is these days. I find I can't be bothered opening many threads - the majority always seem to turn out the same way no matter what the opening post might be about.
