Currently on the Supporters Club website: "Supporters’ groups from across the country have joined forces with politicians and pundits to launch “Sustain The Game!” – a new campaign which calls for urgent action from the authorities to protect the existence of clubs throughout the game". link to Sustain the Game
Right. Over to Bamber...

Right. Over to Bamber... Christ on a bike, where to start with that? That's entirely subjective. Really? Best read up a bit on company law me old china. Waffle. Good luck with that. If our SC were fit for purpose and Masters / BSS offered skills that had any benefit at board level then work would have been found for them. Masters does appear to add some value to the Community Dept, and even after his problems last year was allowed to continue in that area. That last word does actually work as a link, the document is 18 pages long, will go through it when time allows, but based on the above I suspect it will read like something knocked up in the back room of a pub. They are going to transform the game with an 18 page document. Rightyo... No 11, pure comedy gold.

I knew we could count on you! ...Strengthen the Pyramid... - "good luck with that"
The line - "The campaign is backed by fans’ organisations from almost all [my italics] of the 92 Premier League and EFL clubs..." had me wondering whether the exercise is a little hypocritical, given that, in the last 28 years, we have witnessed a separation of the Premier League wheat from the lower League chaff. But even fans of current Premier League clubs can be worried about their ownership e.g. Newcastle. "We Eat What We Kill!"
There's a further article on the FSA website from the Portsmouth CEO - with the quote: "We eat what we kill!". link to Article by Pompey CEO: "Sustain the Game is No Silver Bullet"

Trying to understand what the actual point of this document is, but it doesn't say.
This is just page 1, we haven't even got started yet and already they've failed to communicate any actual detail of the problem that they are concerned about but have conceded that it only affects a minority of clubs and they go on to say that the majority of clubs are well managed.
Seriously, I've got as far as No7 and I'm giving up. A demand that owners 'cherish and sustain' certain key aspects of football clubs. They are talking about community identity and the 'interests of supporters'. This is just jingoistic tripe.
I'm done with it.
Our SC probably think it's fantastic.

"Strengthen the pyramid". Surely impossible. The Pharaohs were mis-sold.
