After 'decades of under achievement and false dawns' the club is finally showing its mettle. This for me, is the best pre season on all fronts in my lifetime ( the one obvious exception being Trump's Chinese Takeway )
Infostructure, some serious cash injection, and the very astute activity in the transfer window, has been a 'breath of fresh air'
The club is doing its bit and we as fans should reciprocate - Second round of season tickets are now on sale - Lets make a statement particularly as the other lot seem to be in disarray.
Toteend4 will start the ball rolling today, with a purchase of 4 season tickets - Any one else on board?

I'm optimistic as well, especially if we keep hold of JCH, but let's see how the first 10 league games go before getting too excited.

I was told there are 2 people working 2 days a week at the moment.
If you leave a message they will eventually get back to you.

I am really pleased lots of us are feeling so upbeat and it is kinda funny how a few of them are in meltdown over the appointment of a new manager. However, they really are light years ahead, some of them just don't seem to appreciate it all that much. But yes, after all the uncertainty of recent times, I will now be renewing my season ticket (I'm still annoyed at myself for missing the original deadline!)

You are absolutely spot on, in all departments, that they are light years ahead of us. However, with a little luck (were certainly due some) it may soon count for nothing. I had two sheedheads in my garden last week and they were having right full on moan -they are clearly rattled. For the first time in almost 40 years of living in their shadow theres now a sliver of light- remarkable when just a few years ago we were non league and they were pushing for the Prem. A new series of 'braging rights' could be round the corner!! UTG

No sliver of light, just ( on paper) better recruitment than the debacle of the summers of 2018 and 2019. Now results...let's see and let's stop being silly. We are, as a club, still burning loads of cash every month. It's not sustainable. What's the plan?

We are, as a club, still burning loads of cash every month. It's not sustainable. What's the plan? I agree with what you’ve said oldie, what we’ve done probably isn’t sustainable but what have we done? Signed 5 free transfers, a small fee on Ayunga and probably a bigger one on Westbrooke. (But tbh I don’t know what undisclosed really means!) Lost some big earners and probably signed some big earners. And you’re right we do need a plan. Perhaps Wael has one but is only sharing when he has something concrete to share. Over the past 4 years he’s shared little of the detail of the how and why. We’ve seen the what when it’s there but he doesn’t like to say too much. I hope he has one because he needs it. But in keeping with the OP, I’m not sure despite all their advantages whether that lot south of the river are any more sustainable. Their losses have been eye-watering and I know Lansdown has deep pockets but that doesn’t make it any more sustainable. Don’t know and I don’t really care but I can’t imagine Lansdowne will continue to want to lose the amounts he’s losing in the Championship. He’s wants to be preening in the PL and he’s not. Quite funny really. UTG!

What irritates me a bit is the ott euphoria, as if all our problems are behind us. Yes, on paper our new squad looks good for L1 and I am looking forward to the coming season with some optimism. But, we are burning cash as ever, our ground is not up to standard. So, grounds for optimism, squad, training ground, re balancing of the business balance sheet. But...one thing goes wrong...we are still on thin ice.

FFS, for the first time in all the years Inhave supported the Gas, we are actually seeing improvements to infrastructure, communication by the club and more professionalism in its sales etc, plus we appear to be building (what looks on paper) to be a decent squad snd yet people are still moaning. Let those of us that are feeling more confident feel that wayband keepmyour moaning to yourselves. It’s not often we get the feel good factor and that is exactly what most of us have at present. Yes there is still a long way to go but we are travelling in the right direction. Be happy.

Would be good to get the Mem bouncing, even with face masks on.

Enthusiasm isn't silly, sure in November struggling to get 3 points, you can say there you go, but I want to be enthusiastic all the same.

We do need a plan to avoid the unsustainability of keeping doing the same old stuff. But I suggest not too different from many other football clubs, including the ****. UTG!

Yep, I got one, can't help feeling though that it might be an expensive way of watching the action on i-follow ! Agreed, good 'vibes' coming out of the club at the mo but after watching them for over fiffty years now I can't help feeling that I have seen and heard all of this before somewhere but hey that's what age does to you I guess. I am just hoping that after the first three fixture we don't just have the obligatory 1 point on the board !
