If it's safe - of course. But will it be? And I'm over 70,and not sure my wife would be too happy.

I think it highly unlikely that fans will be present at the kick off to the new season.

Who can tell what is safe and what isn't. If it's legal, I will go.

I will be there. I see ST have stopped being sold, until there is info on how many can attend. I think those with a ST now will get first dibs on going.

I had been pondering on that, ST priority seems logical. I guess we could look to the pilots going on. Surrey v Middlesex will have a thousand people in there. But on the other hand, what will they really learn from pilots? Are people attending the pilots getting extra special monitoring? And even if they were, it would be 3 to 4 weeks at least to get the meaningful data to say Woah! No more! Get em the hell outa there.. by then all pilots will be declared a stonking success, and the October dates for fans at the mem penned in. as gas heads we have a special place in history of covid, we were some of the last fans to have seen live sport. Liverpool played their infamous match the same night, the infamous Cheltenham was going on, the Infamous steriophonics concert just hours before. i don’t wish to kick off the well run political argument about not locking down quickly enough blame game here, but I do think people jetting back from their skying holidays in Italy and not isolating did more damage in dreadded community spread than any of those mentioned live events. I’d prefer to focus on the fact, we’re on a winning run. 😁

When this was raised in the recent forum, TG suggested the first crowd could be ST holders (possibly thinking on the hoof) as they are the “core supporters”. This disappointed me a little as it is divisive and there are many long-term supporters who buy a ticket when they can afford it and also there are many exile supporters turning up whenever they can.

I'm not sure it would be done on a "core supporters" reason, as we all know that you cannot define a set of core supporters. Passionate Gasheads may not be able to purchase a season ticket for many reasons.
I think it may be done by season ticket holders initially because that may be the only practical way to enable a small number of fans in the stadium.
Plus they will have the contact details of everyone attending automatically.
It is also right that season ticket holders get first choice when tickets are limited. The first games will basically be all ticket events, with a reduced stadium capacity.

On a personal note. If you would have asked me a few weeks ago, my answer would have been a definite no!
Now, if the following is true then I would go:
1. Numbers within the stadium are small enough so that people can social distance. 2. Face masks are mandatory. 3. People can move freely to achieve social distancing (I always sit but would be happy to move to the terraces to find a 2m circle of space).
I would keep my distance like I would in shops or elsewhere.
If the above if not possible, then I would absolutely not go and would rather watch on iFollow.

Can't argue with that and spot on, it was just TG's 'core supporters' comment that was unnecessary - better sold your way.

Accept that, but there will be a capacity reduction ned I expect, how else would any club do it? its not trying to be selective, but if you have managed a ST (and lets be fair you can pay by instalments) those clearly commit to attend up front.
