Can't help but feel on what I have just seen on the BRFC twitter account this evening that this rushed virtual forum had bigger and more sensational news to reveal but for whatever reason it wasn't allowed to break today, the whole thing became a damp squib. Everyone one of the board members looked on edge and at school maths wasn't obviously the Presidents strongest subject, he claims he now has 92% of the club, his brother 10%, add the Supporters Club 3.3% recently diluted share scheme shareholding you find the shareholding is over stated. Not very convincing is it from a man who has now been put on the spot by his CEO who has categorically announced today that he will underwrite the club until 2022, now that's pressure.

That’s not how I heard it. Wael owns 90% of Dwane Sports and his brother Samir, the other 10%. Dwane Sports own 96.5% of the football club and the supporters club 3.5%.

I heard it differently.
Wael said he had 90% of Dwayne Sport and his brother 10%.
Referring to BRFC, he said he has 96.5% and the Supporters Club 3.5%.
Just seen post above!

Did anyone ask why Companies House is not showing that the Dwane Sports loan to BRFC 1883 Ltd has been capitalised ? Nobody asked anything that demanding! Not sure if the questions were all filtered or nobody was brave enough to ask, about 75% of the questions were pointless i.e with all the COVID19/self distancing issues why would you even think of asking could players visit the family stand to hand out gifts to kids!! I'd just be happy if I had a kid for them to just watch a game next season at the Mem. thank you for your views

Recall that it took a long, long time for the share scheme allocation to show up at Companies House, whereas director resignations and appointments tend to be a little quicker. I'd hope Taylor Wessing are working on it.

Listen again, or get your ears syringed! Womble presents the sums that Wael used correctly.
What news were you expecting? If you're so upset, why didn't you register and put your question forward? Or even raise it on here beforehand, so that someone else might feel inclined to ask it?
I'd have to say I'm pretty encouraged by the answers given on finances.

I thought the event was excellent and well-managed. The board was open and there seemed to be a real camaraderie amongst them. In addition to above comments, there was a desire to see an effective Fans' Director who is able to provide views and communicate with the fan base, but no hope of fans being able to buy shares in the future. SC must be governed by fans. Plans for the training ground are in hand with Wael waving around a drawing of the clubhouse on his phone. Expenditure, and losses, coming under control. Rather surprising to hear that TG had done no research on the effect on attendance were we to have a new ground, [mind you that is dependent on results.] Plans to have a fanzone for kids being formulated. BRFC have put out a tweet summarising the meeting, but I have not seen it as I do not bother with Twitter.

I'd just be happy if I had a kid for them to just watch a game next season at the Mem. I think that's a bit harsh. All questions would have been submitted and vetted before the call. Who answers the question and with what answer would also have been generally agreed beforehand. So to an extent this was stage-managed. It was also thoroughly professional. The only things I would add to AMPG's write up are: 1. Wael went out of his way to extend an olive branch to the Supporters Club. I was impressed with that, he didn't have to do it. 2. I think the the Club came across as more unified than it has been since the Daggers game and this "we're all in this together" spirit came through. I don't think negativity around the Zoom call is warranted. They didn't have to do it. They did. And they did it well. I applaud that. UTG.

None of TG's answers have been uploaded for some reason, which is a bit annoying as after Wael's I found is the more enlightening answers. For once it seems we're moving forward as a club.

I can't see any reference to them on the club's Twitter feed?

Found them now, there's just no reference to him answering them.

Found them now, there's just no reference to him answering them. I have to say that this was a big step forward in communication to and from the Board. I was working, so didn't pre-register, but all of the content has been made available to anyone who wants to listen.
I presume that there was an element of pre-selection, but the questions asked were all relevant and, to my mind, the answers given were pretty full and frank.
Hopefully, this will be the first of many regular online Q&As using this format.

Not sure how much pre-selection took place, as my question was answered and I doubt all 50 fans submitted their own questions or, if they did, they differed from those asked. It's almost as if we've new owners, ones that want to actually engage with the fans!

Well, I thought that was pretty decent. Well done Rovers for organising. Highlight had to be the appearance of "Bambi". Not the mental image I had in mind... I have said before, his persona here is totally different to the thoroughly decent man he is. The old adage of not judging a book by its cover comes to mind
