Club have announced this
I'm thinking it would be nice if there were a bit more positivity mixed into the tone of the questions for this one, in light of the very good news at the club at a time of generally very bad news - we're sticking out for all the right reasons at the moment...
It will be interesting to find out a bit more about Karim too
Following the recent Open Letter from Club President, Wael Al Qadi, the Club can confirm that the process of appointing the new Directors and capitalising the debt owed to Dwane Sports has been formally processed on Companies House.
In total, club debt totalling £16.4m has been capitalised through the issue of new shares by Bristol Rovers (1883) Limited and £18.4m of debt between Bristol Rovers (1883) Limited and Dwane Sports Limited has also been eliminated by a similar share issue.
Accrued interest of £2.1m on the loan from Dwane Sports Limited to Bristol Rovers (1883) Limited has been waived and will be evident in the published accounts that will be produced for the year ended 30 June 2020.
Further to the recent changes, we are inviting fans to take part in a Virtual Fan's Forum event this coming Friday at 1pm. This will allow supporters to put their questions to Club President, Wael Al Qadi, CEO, Martyn Starnes and new board members Tom Gorringe and Karim Mardam-Bey.
To register your interest in asking a question at Friday's event, which will be conducted on Zoom, please email media@bristolrovers.co.uk.

Assume I'd need Zoom to take part. I have heard of Zoom and that's as far as it goes.

This sounds like a good opportunity. I'm hoping to attend. At the moment, I'm not sure which of the dozens of issues brought up on this forum I would select to question the new board.

No need to be put off by "Zoom".
I expect the club will make available joining instructions with a link you have to click on and perhaps an ID code and password for the meeting.
There might be a small piece of software to download.
If your computer has a microphone and speaker you should not need to do anything else: just listen in, or join in the conversation.

I'm loathe to let yet another device access to my life. With the bad press most of these things have had lately and a perception it's "Big Brother". I think maybe I'll rely on the proceedings being relayed to me by you worthy gentlemen.

Then the momentous news that the debt had effectively written off by Wael Al-Qadi. I just never thought this was likely to happen, and couldn't be happier to have been proven wrong. The Zoom Fans Forum is another good idea. Communication is one area that the Board kept promising would improve, but didn't. This is a very welcome start. Well done Rovers. I'm still eating my way through a large amount of humble pie. And I was forced to eat seconds. BTW media@bristolrovers.co.uk (no full stop at the end). UTG.

I wonder if we will see an appearance from Tote End Brian, with lockdown looks?
Thank God for mute button...
Good initiative and going with the grain of more communication and transparency.

Well, I thought that was pretty decent. Well done Rovers for organising. Highlight had to be the appearance of "Bambi". Not the mental image I had in mind...

it just finished. Lance did a good job. Things I learned...
pre-Covid we were on track to reduce losses by 50% we've a strategy for working towards breakeven. No timings they have budgeted to June 22 - though Covid means even less certainty than usual
new BRSC rep needs to 1) have best interest of the club at heart and 2) be able to represent/communicate with all fans they are working on a 'Wycombe-style' fanzone, as fan feedback says it would be very welcome, and improving matchday for young pirates in particular good request for players with stickers or similar to visit the family stand from time-to-time BRSC now own 3.5% of BRFC. Principle of fan feeling an ownership is important to the Board
12th Sept pencilled in for start of the league, with the week prior maybe being Cuddly Toy. All Covid-dependent, obvs good question about 'Club Wembley' style debenture 'investment' into the new stadium. TG's tone suggested to me at one point that this might be quite advanced, although he also said it would be 'studied once agreements are in place', which seemed a bit reactive to me
the 10% shareholder is 'Sammer' (as a Bristolian might say it) not 'Samir' (which is how I thought it was said) Wael met Karim about when the AQs took over the club. But they have similar backgrounds - West London, banking etc. (also IT for Karim). They met in the middle east, to which Karim moved and set up a corporate comms company. They played football together - Karim was a goalie, Wael a brilliant/hopeless centre forward (depending on which of the two of them you believe) Wael reckons he once nutmegged Locks. Clearly he hasn't shut up about it since. Though neither would I if I'd done that
The Colony will include accommodation for a caretaker and family, plus interim accommodation for players moving to the club
negatives; chat was disabled after a few minutes TG (who seems an excellent chap) twice said 'from our side' referring to the Board. We're all on the same side, as he knows

by the way, if you ever feel that your life is lacking in middle-aged white men, a BRFC Fans Forum will fill that gap very plentifully!

I saw that ITB was on it, though he didn't ask a question. I don't know about anyone else who is standing for BRSC BRFC Director

Did anyone ask why Companies House is not showing that the Dwane Sports loan to BRFC 1883 Ltd has been capitalised ?

Perhaps it has something to do with formalising the removal of the Dwane Sports charge over the Mem ?

Did anyone ask why Companies House is not showing that the Dwane Sports loan to BRFC 1883 Ltd has been capitalised ? Nobody asked anything that demanding! Not sure if the questions were all filtered or nobody was brave enough to ask, about 75% of the questions were pointless i.e with all the COVID19/self distancing issues why would you even think of asking could players visit the family stand to hand out gifts to kids!! I'd just be happy if I had a kid for them to just watch a game next season at the Mem.
