I'm glad Lee Hendrie on Sky nominated the Wycombe defender Stewart as Man of the Match. It was well-deserved on the day. He scored the first goal (deflected in off the Oxford keeper) and made at least four crucial interceptions on the edge of the six yard box.

Wycombe Wanderers play in the 2nd tier next season! Dead ball specialists. How I wish there was a dislike button but fair play to Ainsworth. Bugs me as we really need to have higher expectations

We had the better of them at our place, at Adams Pk we competed for a few mins and then allowed them to run away with the game. How / why is Garner still here? See that 8-0 score tonight, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Wycombe on the receiving end of a few of those next season.

Agree, L1 was Sh*te this season and we were playing well enough and more importantly lucky enough to be 4th on merit. I would add that his signings had been ok and January could have seen us push on and at least get in the play offs. It was there for the taking this season as some big guns Sunderland, Ipswich, failed miserably.

I think it quite possible we'll have an awful start to the season and eventually WAQ will sack him. Hope that's not the case.

Thinking about him still being here, can only imagine that he's blamed everything on the players and Wael has believed him?

I get the disappointment and disruption of losing GC and bringing in a young manager with a different idea of how he wants the game played. But. Ben could'nt motivate them enough, communicate his thoughts enough to of picked up at least a couple more victories. So a poor return of points I can get,but his got ridiculous. How many Managers have comeback and done even averagly well ,after such a truly awful start at a football club? Sunderland game was great. This offers hope. He's a likeable bloke,I want him to succeed.

Don't think anybody has an issue with him personally, he does say 'I' and 'Me' a lot, an awful lot in fact, that may give a bit of insight into his personality, but he's here for the start of next season, so good luck to the bloke, hope he can turn his record around.

The madness of last season suggested losing was okay."Okay" because WAQ ignored the fact we were challenging and "okay" with it because Ben,in the long term, will deliver us beautiful football (I was happy and enjoying GCs brand thank you) and so "losing" is now "okay" because "next seadon" we'll all be entertained with his beautiful winning football. I have doubts and say the biggest question mark at Rovers is above the Manager.

It's better to be in it than not.....Wigan safe as houses in mid table and facing a 12 point deduction and almost certain relegation.

Yes, wouldn't mind swapping League positions with Lightning Cheats FC. Not sure I would write Wigan off just yet, in real money they are level on points with the teams in 22nd and 23rd places, they have Charlton on Saturday, you would imagine they would stand a good chance of 3 points there, then a tough final fixture at Fulham, so it could go either way for them, but what they did last night put them well ahead of the competition on goal difference.

I expect they will find it hard but Ainsworth strikes me as the sort of manager who is practical and doesn’t care what people say about his style etc. so I think he will come up with a few ideas to make them as hard to beat as they were this season so I don’t buy into the idea that because they are little Wycombe they will struggle and get lots of hidings. I think Ainsworth is a seriously good manager who gets the best from his players and who will surprise some teams in the Championship. If Burton could survive for a few years there then there’s no reason Wycombe can’t. Its a great story, them going up and Posh and Sunderland and Pompey and Ipswich staying down. Who’d have thought it? Mind you even with their 12 point penalty Wigan’s form has given them a chance of surviving, I hope they do. UTG!

It was there for the taking this season as some big guns Sunderland, Ipswich, failed miserably. Watching Jack Grimmer's outstanding performance the other night really had me ruing the signing of Mark Little (who's name I struggled to recall), over another of Widdrington's Coventry Castoffs to which we were heavily linked. I thought GC did fantastically well, I predicted he would not last until 2020 when he took over (although expected a different scenario), but fair play to the man he really won me over.
