Probably tempting fate to call it the Fireproof Stadium...that would just goad them into trying it!
Thinking of the pirate theme and the location how about “Treasure Island” ?

If this is true I hope Wael has some good people around him. The people selling the land will take the money and call him Sir. Legal people and architects will tell him anything he wants to hear. BCC have no plans right now for that land, so unlikely that they'll be too awkward with planning. Contractors would build whatever he wants, as long as he can pay. But it's still a stupid location with serious access issues and he'll need to get the revenue that the thing produces spot on or this is going to end in disaster. Ridiculous access you're right. Next to the biggest train station in the city, 15 minute walk from Old Market that services half of Bristol's bus routes, 20 minute walk from the centre, and driving access from surrounding towns and villages via the Bath road and the Wells road. A stupid location Yes, because so many people travel to home matches by train or expect to walk a mile from Old Market. People drive and want to dump their cars in local streets, it would be chaos, especially for midweek matches as incoming supporters get tangled up with commuters leaving the area.

People need to change their habits - what you describe is unsustainable. Public transport infrastructure will be vital of course and there are plenty of grounds - existing and new that are still in towns and Cities rather on faceless out of town industrial parks. Yes of course there needs to be provision for less mobile amongst us but this is an opportunity to build a modern stadium with modern access methods.

Bristol doesn't have a great record of dealing with its transport problems, so it's difficult to see too much changing in the time it would take to build a stadium.

I see I've been beaten to, but agree Treasure Island is a perfect fit.
St. Phillips being an island (hence the 80s musical Yesterdays Island).
Stadium = Treasure Island. Training Ground = The Crow's Nest.

Treasure Island does sound a little ' Robert Louis Stevenson' though does it not ? and as literary a great as it is I don't think it pairs too well with the beautiful game, if St Phillips is indeed an island and without upsetting the good folk of Viet - Nam why not just call it 'Pirate Island'.....now that sounds like it has a much better ring to it !!

Bristol doesn't have a great record of dealing with its transport problems, so it's difficult to see too much changing in the time it would take to build a stadium. Governments and Councils are useless. We all know this. Completely agree people's habits need to change. If someone wants to drive into town and complain about the parking I'd tell them parking has always been an issue. Match days up the Mem aren't a picnic. Here's where private enterprise and innovative businessmen come in. Tom G could get involved with First Bus, have some conversations, and FB could offer a subsided bus ticket, included in a match ticket. Pop the price up a quid, free bus fare with your ticket, money in FBus pocket, incentive to ditch the car and take public transport. Of course there are many people who need a car like old people and disabled people. And that parking can be provided. Bristol has been making everything one way for the last 30 years I can remember. How long til Horfield is a one way system and the same problems of congestion that already exist, are exasperated to a level you imagine the fruit market to be? The regeneration of the area has many opportunities to redevelop the road systems. Here's a suggestion moving forward. Upgrade the roads double width. Have a one-way during the day opening up the roads wider for cyclists and pedestrians (I'm not a fan but we know the city is), and open up the extra lane on match days. Make some roads wider, build a council funded car park, plenty of custom from train users and again, something that can potentially be thrashed out between BRFC and BCC about matchday subsidies. If we're gonna tear up a few square miles in redevelopment, then we might as well get it right... Wishful thinking I know
