Can't use any name related to Pirates ...very involved with slave trade Should not use anything re Black Arabs? No doubt all our players will 'take the knee' in the first game back How many will have researched the BLM otganisation?.... anti capitalist/defund the police/ abandon traditonal family values/legalise all drugs etc Main stream news likewise scrabbles around trying to look virtuous while the BLM grows its income under false pretences Think I'll turn up bang on ko time then , to miss the kneeling thing.

There are approx 2 million people living in colonies today, I think there are 16 of them and I really can't be bothered to check to be part of the pc absurdity rubbish that is happening in the west right now. There is world cup coming up in a country which has used Asian slave Labour in construction and people are concerned by the title "the colony". I'm as right on and leftie as anyone I know, but some of the things being talked about at the moment are driving me up the wall. I even saw an interview with Jim Davidson the other day where I found myself agreeing with him. The world's gone mad I tell 'ee! So even the moderate left think this has all got out of hand? Interesting stuff. I was chatting to a couple of my Sikh friends yesterday. I was very interested in their opinion as I thought my views / standpoint had lurched from 'a bit right of centre' to a worrying 'very right of centre'. They were further to the right in their views than me. Doesn't make them right or wrong. Just interesting.

What's more interesting is why you should find it interesting (surprised?) that a Sikh might be right wing.

Now everybody who doesn't have white skin, apart it seems from Sikhs, has the entire corrupt, capitalist patriarchy set against them. Next week we'll all be expected to be outraged about something else. As The Kaiser Chiefs wrote;

It's not just the 'left things' that have got out of hand, there are equally other insane things that those on the right get their knickers in a twist about. If someone in the Labour Party dares mention a certain country in the middle east, it's anti semetic. If a comedian mentions the name of a music hall act, apologies are needed. Being a member of the Armed Forces seems to elevate you to god like status with some people , regardless of what you have done or said. Everyone suddenly thinks they are Colin Kaepernick, failing to see that when he took a knee, it actually meant something, when every other fer does it at every opportunity it is about effective as standing outside your door and clapping to show your support for the NHS. Even Captain Tom, who seems a decent sort of bloke, is bestowed with further meaningless titles in some sort of attempt to show those in power 'understand us'. I mean , why not call him Guardian of the Universe for good measure. And now the RFU are looking into whether we should sing 'Swing Low' at Twickenham anymore, I mean FFS. Mind you I would be incredibly impressed that if , after their review, it was banned, not on the grounds of racist connotations but on the grounds of good taste, dreadful dirge that it is. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Morris is behind all this and we are living in some global edition of Brass Eye. Anyway, this is a football forum, stop winding me up you lot!

And "Goodnight Irene" was written by an oppressed black guy whilst in a US prison. Make sure BLM don't get to know about it!

As well as installing a mem type pitch wouldn't it make sense to install a crap bumpy pitch. So that the team can get used to playing on such a pitch. Seeing as quite a few clubs have said pitches in division one.I must be one step ahead 😜

And as I wrote - I was interested that their views were further right wing than mine. I am not remotely surprised that they hold right wing views, they are both successful businessman. And they believe that for them to succeed in their respective businesses, they favour Conservative Government.

from Frosty yesterday....
Construction of Bristol Rovers’ new training ground is on schedule, and the project manager believes it will be a “selling point” for the club.
The Gas’ new base in Hortham Lane, in Almondsbury, is on track to be ready for mid-September – when the League One season is expected to begin.
The development started in June, with two full-size fibre sand pitches which replicate the Mem surface and a goalkeeping area being laid.
A clubhouse is also being created as part of phase one of the project, but that will not be complete until November or December......
“I think the weather is supposed to be really nice this week, so we’re on schedule. We hope to seed by the end of July and with that in mind we will be cutting by August 14 and we hope to train on the first pitch by mid-September.
“The second pitch will be ready by the end of October.”
Roberts believes the lack of a clubhouse and changing rooms will not be an issue in the interim, with EFL coronavirus guidelines instructing players to arrive at training in their kit and shower at home.
