If a league table of current top 4 League clubs was made, the table would read:
7. Walsall.
6. Exeter City.
5. Accrington Stanley.
4. Norwich City. Rochdale.
3. Crystal Palace. Crewe Alexandra. Hartlepool United. Swindon Town.
2. Watford. Tranmere Rovers. Southend United. Rotherham United. QPR. Millwall. Colchester United. Brentford. AFC Bournemouth.
1. Bradford City. BRISTOL ROVERS. Brighton & Hove Albion. Cardiff City. Carlisle United. Charlton Athletic. Grimsbury Town. Mansfield Town. Shrewsbury Town. I was surprised, but what am I?

Also....applied successfully for re election. Others did and were replaced. Also, a few non league teams now, applied .
Well done! Top marks.
Can anyone remember ours?! 😋

I had no idea we were in such a precarious position. BTW I’d have never got this There you go, we've always been rubbish! Yes I've always thought the whole '3rd tier is our natural level' and the old (sadly no longer applicable) claim 'we've never been in the 4th tier' was a bit of a comforting myth. If you look at the 'good old days' we did spend a fair amount of time in the bottom half of Divison 3 South which meant de-facto 4th tier status. Those who were fortunate enough to follow us in the 50s and 60s really did see the golden era of Bristol Rovers. Prior to that were mostly rubbish and after that we've been pretty rubbish with the Twerton era standing as a weird anomaly.

When you see some clubs on the list that I consider always better than us (in last 50 years), it puts it in perspective. At least we haven't gone bust though. Yet. We all know one that has (😁).... and what is particularly more surprising is they've had a sugar daddy along the way either side of that bankruptcy and still won f all.

No one dropped out since Wigan in 78 came in for Southport until 87 when they changed it

Indeed, no one can call any gashead a glory hunter 30 years ago today we were trying!? I have never got over that, stopped going for 6 years and even believed the daft conspiracy stuff. Played so well then just looked a different team. Cyril bloody Regis and football focus put a hex on us. Horrible season to remember, for me EDIT I read 20 instead of 30. I’m sorry but you will have to refresh my memory. I know you’re talking about beating the 💩 and winning the league but I have ne memories of trying to be glory hunters
