Those are all very fair points....I still don't like them though! Doncaster's consistent capacity to play us off the park and compeltely outdo us in the competency stakes off the field is another one that's quite hard to take. I quite like Donny though.
Agree. Agree. And agree. I don't have a problem with the way Peterborough play - and they've been scoring goals for fun this CV season. Fine. Off the field they are bank-rolled by Darragh MacAnthony, who IMHO is an unpleasant human being. As Father suggests - they would be nothing without his one-man financial doping strategy. Barry Fry is their Director of Football, and I wouldn't trust him to go round the shops to buy a pint of milk. I am not a fan of Darren Ferguson, I often I wonder who helped him get into football? Other managers include Gary Johnson, Steve Evans and Barry Fry. All super lovely people. They charge (I believe) the highest prices for League 1 POTD games - £28 to watch from behind a goal. So I stopped going there a few seasons ago. Peterborough is in the fens, with a low gene pool to accompany it. They really do look "the same". An uneasy mix of eastern European immigration and 'locals'. The people who live there reflect the landscape, flat, boring and uninspired. A side with little history - they have only been a league side since 1960-61. So I would put them in a group of newbies that include mk dons, bcfc192, Morecambe, Crawley, Stevenage etc etc. They loaned us "alleged striker" Luke James for a season, that produced 0 (zero) goals from 24 appearances. They sold us apprentice hair-dresser and "alleged striker" Tom Nichols for £325k, who scored a prolific 4 goals from 93 appearances. Should Peterborough mysteriously disappear over-night, people may miss the Gothic cathedral and the ability to update their passport at short notice. AND NOTHING ELSE. I rest the case for the prosecution. No further questions. Things are very cheap at the market there They weren't selling footballers tho

Its funny how people attack peterborough but year after year they play exiting attacking football exactly how i believe it should be played. We played like that for 3 or arguably 4 seasons under DC but they have played great football for maybe 15 years? Also had 2 promotions to the championship in that time. its a house of cards built on the funding of one man though. Peterborough doesn’t have the fan base or attendances to generally sustain that squad. True but same for many other clubs.

What would you say if you genuinely had the best interests of Rovers at heart and talked on a forum about your worries about how the club was being run, you didn't say a single word that was factually incorrect, yet Higgs' still banned you from the ground because some of what you were saying was uncomfortable for him to read, and he was still so cowardly about it that he had someone else deliver the letter imposing the ban. Would you still tag him as 'poor bloke'?

Things are very cheap at the market there They weren't selling footballers tho Good Pubs too (not sure when we'll be back in them though). I thought the Cherry Tree was the only one in short walking distance to the ground (park your car for £5). Shut down a few years ago. I heard there might be a pub on a boat that's decent. Hardly a major incentive to visit though... I'll pass.

The price tag to sit in a decrepit stand is pure exploitation and quite frankly, disgusting. They've offloaded their duds twice to us. We have more resources than they do, and admittedly they have over achieved their potential as much as we have under achieved ours. Apart from some quaint establishments, a great away day or weekend, I just don't warm to them like I should.

People buy beer there, wait a long time to get served, then they get loud, think they are funnier and they smell of beer, all in all, it's not very attractive.

Was sent this by a chelski fan earlier... said he got it from bcfc1982er. I didn't know whether to post or not (as I couldn't validate the source). But it does sound like Ben Garner and he does speak very well. Edit: Alex Rodman! Shows how much notice I take of a Ben Garner press conference . How come Alex gets to speak? Is the EFL rep? He did talk very well though I thought.

Nothing came out of that apart from, if more teams get relegated next season, we absolutely have to get rid of Garner, or prepare for life in L2 the following season.
2 wins in half a season.
Of course, that's predicated on there still being a Rovers to get relegated.

Did I hear that right? 3 promoted from each of the leagues, but no relegations! To be 'absorbed the following season'. That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. He must have got that wrong?

This is the EFL we are talking about mind EFL and the PL. Mind you - I did say this would all be sorted out with money being the main driver - not logic or fairness... Maybe the potential legal challenge from Bournmouth, Aston Villa and Norwich has scared the PL?

At least the PL season ends with Liverpool having lost a game, although it was about 8 weeks ago I haven't stopped laughing since, someone somewhere on Merseyside had to cancel an order for a huge batch of Invincibles merchandise.

I actually think that's a reasonable idea - I'd draw the line at the 2 in the automatic spots (3 would surely create odd numbered divisions?). But it seems fairer than any other approach to me. It seems right that teams are rewarded positively for performances up to this point but a bit unfair to punish sides who could still have potentially gotten out of trouble. So you'd then play with 26 two 26 team division and one 20 division. Would make the next season a bit madcap but so what - we're unlikely to care that much.

So Oxford who seem to have been in the top 3 for about a week before lockdown go up but Wycombe who've been there all season don't go up? Likewise Exeter missing out in L2. Back to Oxford & Wycombe I wonder what they feel about being promoted, as how can they build Championship squads in the summer knowing that they are unlikely to get any real income until at least January 2021?
