Depends if how many or whom have had the vaccine (according to Bill Gates, who's trying to rush through his holdings of vaccine interests without the usual safeguards).

I believe attendances will be very low everywhere when football restarts. I would imagine, if there was a full lifting of lockdown and government advice was 'go to football if you want to' then grounds would be sold out all over the place.

I believe attendances will be very low everywhere when football restarts. I think the opposite and that we will see more come to the first couple just out of sheer relief.

Given that current plans seem to be for football restarting behind closed doors then, yes, attendances will be very low indeed!
In this scenario surely they would have to offer some kind of IFollow option to domestic audiences which could be a game changer because I think it will be quite hard to justify removing it once 'normality' is restored.

I tried ifollow for a very brief period and it’s bloody awful. I think many would feel like me and then not bother. I’ve never known any other streaming service that performs so badly

Not sure how you can have any attendance at a football match, or indeed any other sport stadium, whilst the social distancing rules are in place. One rule in the ground and another outside the ground. Hmm..... And I don’t see anything in the pipeline, either testing or vaccine, that is going to go anyway to reducing or removing those guidelines any time soon.

I guess the attendances will depend upon when football re-starts. If the lockdown is over and the all clear is given or even if it re-starts and by some miraculous means an antidote has been developed then I would have thought attendances would be very good. If they attempt to play before it’s “safe” or when there is still a partial lockdown or there are questions in peoples’ minds then they will be low. I can’t believe the authorities would even consider starting football again before the lockdown is over, it would be crazy. Wouldn’t it? UTG!

stay at home protect the NHS and save lifes Lives, Degg. Lives. Hey Shoves, Wareham has got a possessive apostrophe in the wrong place in the word ''people's''. Go round and sort him out. Just thought it best to quote it, in case he does anything dishonourable, like edit it; Can't allow standards to slip.

Nadine Dorries, who works in Matt Hancock's health dept, tweeted earlier that lockdown in some form will continue until vaccine is found, so that most likely means no spectators at football matches for a year.

My thinking is people will need a lot of convincing to watch football in a crowd of people unless somehow the virus is eradicated. Especially considering mostly older men go to football.

Yes. We might not like it but it does make logical sense. Why go to something and catch something for which there is no vaccine or remedy. UTG!

I can see no logic in spending weeks (months?) in this lockdown telling everyone to distance themselves to slow down/prevent this virus from spreading and then with nothing in place like a vaccine or mass testing just randomly letting thousands of people stand next to each other to start spreading it all over the place again.....who would want to go in those circumstances anyway?

I believe attendances will be very low everywhere when football restarts. Interesting statement. (Nearly fell off my chair). Agree with vertigo. (Got up off the floor, sat on my chair, and promptly fell off again). Money will be very tight when 'normal' people try and justify paying good money to attend football matches when they resume. £20 to stand on a terrace behind a goal and watch 3rd tier football. Nah. People are going to be stressing about paying bills and getting food on the table. Unless tier 3/4 Clubs get some help from Premier League / EFL / Govt, I think my learned friend vertigo is correct.

Health risk is the biggest issue in my view. Many people will be wary of being in crowds of people .
