Just phoned me.Was expecting it as he is writing a book and features the '89 title decider Liverpool v Arsenal which was won with the last kick of the game when Michael Thomas scored.I was linesman. Asked for my version on the controversial first goal which was in-direct and Ronnie Whelan claimed had gone straight in.Told him I 'd give him my version of events if he agreed to mention Bristol Rovers so when the book comes out let's hope we get the promised mention!!!!!!!

In terms of the top flight - for me that games easily beats the Man City last gasp winner against QPR to clinch the title. I don't think Liverpool had lost a game at home by more than one goal all season. So for Arsenal to win 2-0 at Anfield on the last day of the season was a fantastic achievement. (My missus is a gooner).
