Favourite away ground as in somewhere I have seen Rovers play would probably be Ayr United, or Blackpool before the refurbishment. I only ever saw us at Boothferry Park after the away end was truncated, that was still a lovely old ground but I would have loved to have seen it before the desecration!

Ground = Valley Parade Bradford. Genuinely think it's spectacular both as a design and position.
Away Experience = Morecambe every time.

I haven't seen a game there for years, the last time I did there was still that low roofed away end along one side of the pitch. I did pick up a new car from a dealership across the way from there about 5 years ago and that big stand looked hugely impressive.

I agree with crater about traditional old stadiums being best,Old Den for atmosphere, and Highbury (Arsenal) pre 'improvements'was impressive.

The new Wembley. Great memories. Been to York’s Bootham Crescent a few times. Old school but fairly central, so a good weekend. I quite like Huish at Yeovil, easy away day for me and good memories of them trying to get me thrown out of their main stand in Atkins’ day. Fortunately enough Yeovil fans said leave him (me) alone. They eventually won and enjoyed taking the **** out of me, all good, harmless banter. Exeter and Argyle all great atmospheres.
But as it’s a vote I’ll choose Dean Court, Bournemouth. Being a regular there in League 2 and League 1 days I knew lots of people so lots of good banter in those games. All good natured despite usually losing, our record there was rubbish. But Curetons great goal for a 1-0 win in late 90s and our opening 3-0 win the back in 73-74, the opening game, make for some great memories. UTG!

For atmosphere... Millwall, The Old Den. I went there a few times with Rovers and always found it pretty quiet a ( with the obvious exception of the last ever game there)

Newport in the 1980's, standing on the railway sleepers and slag heaps behind the goal.
We played them in 1953 then not again until 1981 and all through the 80's to 1987..(28 yrs).
Then not again until 2013..(26 yrs), very strange how it goes like that.

Home Park, Plymouth, because I saw Pele play there! For atmosphere though I'd have to agree that The Old Den was incredible. I used to go there when I fist moved to London in the late 80's - as if it wasn't scary enough off the pitch you had Terry Hurlock kicking everybody on the pitch.

Terry Hurlock used to drink in my local. I don't think I need to tell you what sort of a pub it was

Unbelievably it's still there more or less untouched nearly 20 years after Rotherham officially moved out. They even still cut the grass because a lot of TV period shows and films use it for football scenes. Sadly it's shortly to vanish for good. That's the sort of thing National Trust should be buying!
