For me wael and boris johnson are in similar positions. They both have suddenly be thrown into an unprecedented situation and have to do the best they can. To score political points or go on the attack against them is crass and not appropriate at this time in my view. I dislike johnson and all of his kind but right now he needs our support regardless of politics. Same with wael for me,now is not the time to be laying the boot in but instead we should be backing him as best we can.

Wael has to deal with the fallout of what decisions that he has made within a small football club. The debt that we have now witnessed occurred long before the virus arrived. (the accounts are to June 2019) Boris Johnson is dealing with a worldwide pandemic which hasn't occurred due to his decision making unlike Wael. BJ's big test will be dealing with the massive debt that the country will have and still have long after we have left this earth.

At least Boris has the chancellor and treasury behind him along with the public, all Wael has is his mother's wallet, what happens when that purse runs dry.

Might have got worked up about this a few weeks ago but hardly seems important now. Things will carry on as they are until DS are no longer happy to keep plugging the gap. Just a case of when that time will come, not if. I think that there is a day of reckoning coming about football operates in this country anyway and the CV situation will massively accelerate this. As I understand it, from someone who has managed to weasel their way into Wael’s company, he got his mother onside and this got Hani to step away so Wael is now the boss, in totality. I corroborated this with another good source who I can’t name as there is one poster here who could get him fired, he said this was true. As Wael sees it this is just like new ownership as he is now free to do his bidding, unshackled by an elder sibling Tin hat firmly in place. I should know better than to post this stuff but bugger it. Let’s be avin you 😂 Any idea who the two new board members are who were appointed last Sunday and gone by Monday?

Whatever decisions wael has made he could not have anticipated this crisis. What is the purpose or point of constantly slagging off the only person who can keep the club running?

I stand by my earlier assertion (even before the current crisis) that a likely future scenario is the gates of the Mem being locked and a series of fruitless legal battles making headlines in the Bristol Post. I could enlarge on this but it wouldn’t make pleasant reading especially for the many fans who, incredibly for me, still have faith in Wael. I'm just wondering what they'd fight over - someone fighting Wael for 'illegally' selling the Mem?

The point is, the losses were incurred long before this crisis.

I'm struggling a bit with your position here, are we supposed to pretend that these people haven't squandered all of the equity in the stadium, and with it the club's security?

Vertigo's stance seems to be there's little we can do about that now, the only hope is Wael not gets us through the present CV crisis, the latest seems to be normality may not return for 6+ months so basically we've got to get to the start start of what would normally be next season. If Wael doesn't get us there I can't see anybody else will.

If Wael acted like a grown up, accepted that the losses are his fault and passed the club on with the same debt as the day he arrived, I'm sure he could find people willing to take on the challenge of taking Rovers forward.

I was hoping for a little more than that Sir! Please find some words... vertigo may not want to read them, but plenty of people do. Grasping at positives - Dwane Sports must have been injecting cash during this accounting period. And currently Dwane Sports must be injecting significant sums as we don't have any revenue and we still have significant out-goings. Kyle £4k a week. Crikey and flipping 'eck. The post today by KP is perfectly believable and so it seems in this case Vertigo is right that we are totally in the hands of Wael. If we judge a man by his words and actions we must make up our own minds on whether we think Wael has the ability to successfully carry Rovers through and also the financial means to do so. For me, on both counts, Wael fails miserably and I stand by my earlier assertion (even before the current crisis) that a likely future scenario is the gates of the Mem being locked and a series of fruitless legal battles making headlines in the Bristol Post. I could enlarge on this but it wouldn’t make pleasant reading especially for the many fans who, incredibly for me, still have faith in Wael. Swiss do you think the resignation of Hani from DWANE DEVELOPMENTS UK LIMITED on march 17 2020 has any bearing on all this?

Your not sure though are you? its simply a point of view your putting forward. What i am suggesting is that we need wael to keep the club going during this crisis regardless of how well or badly he has run the club.

Yes but it wouldn't be fair to mention their names on here. Is it possible to explain what all that was about? I don't know the facts myself other than two well known local businessmen were going to join the board but the appointments were ditched at the 11th hour.

It looks as though it may be part of Hani’s withdrawal from Wael’s adventure as outlined by KP earlier. Dwane Sports and Dwane Colony are both registered in Jersey with nominee directors (last time I checked) so, in Wael related companies, Hani’s name was only associated with Dwane Developments.
