My gigs would be
The Clash at the Locarno when they had the Sikh Elvis impersonator supporting and the drummer from The Police walking round videoing everything (That was a strange night)
Madness at the Pavilion in Bath and we ended up in a row with local skinheads, got chased all round the place and ended up having to walk home to Bristol along the cycle path.
The Smiths, at some club in Bath which ended up being a REALLY strange night not suitable for family viewing.
The Damned (who I saw so many times) at their 10th anniversary gig in Finsbury Park.
AC/DC on the Back in Black tour at the Colston Hall as a star struck schoolboy.
Motorhead in Hammersmith , just for the memory of a mate falling asleep close to a speaker and missing the whole show.
Glastonbury early 80s must have been good. I was the only one of my mates who bought a ticket, everyone else just went over the fences and I have absolutely no memories of any of the bands so it must have been good! Although I was disappointed to find out later than Ian Dury was there, I thought he was brilliant and would love to have a memory of seeing him and the Blockheads.
ZZ Top in Cologne, catching the coach (which had no toilet) from London was an experience!
Another one that still makes me smile was the Psychedelic Furs at the Colston Hall, there used to be a bar at the back and we realised we could stay there drinking and still hear the band- so we did just that .
Well known bands used to play in all sorts of venues, as opposed to the arenas of today. Gloucester Leisure Centre, Gold Diggers in Chippenham. the Oasis in Swindon even B***** Hill youth club!

The gig I’d regret not turning up for was Ian Dury and his brilliant blockheads. I was cxxx struck and spent the night shagging but a waste of ticket and never dud see him/them

She’s a bloody diva and difficult to work with. A friend used to be one of her roadies and said she caused lots of trouble in every gig, for promoters and the venues. Her rider was unreasonable too She seems to have struck up a good relationship with the staff at her local pie shop over the years. Does anyone think Liam Gallagher is a nice lad?? They're all d*cks, but we like their music/look Good inside info though

They're all d*cks, but we like their music/look Good inside info though Don't know anything about Gallagher, the music is dire, and the public persona he's created is that of a total chump, but for all I know he may be a nice guy in private. The comment about Kate related to her rather 'expanded' girth.

You may be surprised at some of the stuff I find entertaining, but Oasis is just talentless noise and an exercise in marketing, gobbled up by the masses.

Oasis are amazing, when they reform you will see the national clamour for tickets. Genius Noel Gallagher. Excellent frontman Liam.

Being 60 is no excuse for being obese,a couple of Pilates classes a week and a diet low in sugar would sort her out,I notice that Madonna is a little chubster now,I thought that she was well into fitness.

I can give you a list of events that were well attended where what was coming from the stage wasn't always of the highest quality.

She was gorgeous back in the day Kate True, and so were Debbie Harry and Kim Wylde but they both stacked the pounds on,they don't need to,'when I was a boy' most (not all) women stayed trim into old age, carpet sweepers, mangles and shopping trollies all helped but so did a decent diet.

Glastonbury was one, absolute shambles and a bloody disgrace, should have given 80,000 punters their money back for that "show"

So what happened with Cass Elliot, did she live in a dirty kaftan or maybe white goods made it to California before the UK? Same for Hatti Jacques I guess, all apart from the kaftan and being in California.
