Can't see the season continuing.
So, take for example Villa, in the relegation zone with a game in hand. How can you relegate/promote clubs with games in hand? You could end up with clubs getting relegated despite having averaging more points per game than aside above them.
So it's scrapped! Liverpool aren't champions?

I’d imagine the players would welcome it & no reason not to play when things are more clear and weather nicer

That lot down the road won't be too happy if it's scrapped

That lot down the road won't be too happy if it's scrapped No way will it be scrapped with most teams having no more than 10 games to play. Sat and weds every week from end of april season ends in may.smaller clubs cannot stand the financial loss of possibly 5 home games and a financial loss of in excess of 250k. It could send smaller clubs to the wall

It will be completed in some way, shape or form. To stop it now would leave the EFL and PL open to all sorts of legal challenges from aggrieved clubs. Those clubs would all combine and tie the authorities in all sorts of legal knots that could even affect the start of next season. I would be very surprised if it didn’t finish. UTG!

The only precedent is the suspension of football at the outbreak of war in 1939.
Looks unlikely right now that the season will be completed imo.

But it’s one thing cancelling a season after a few games at the start of a season and making it void with less than 10 games to go. Of course if you are right I would expect some EFL mathematicians to be very busy on various scenarios, points per game average, evening up the number of games that way etc. The comparison between 1939 and now is very different imo. UTG!

How did they manage before pitches became snooker tables? Cold spells use to get more than three games in a row postponed. They're working on a vaccine so it might not be more than three games, nobody knows.

Can't wait for this season to end and it be consigned to the dustbin, thanks to Ben Garner; but at least if the season was scrapped Liverpool and their weird followers would miss out on winning the Premier League.

If cashflow is the biggest problem with football clubs because of fans' revenue, and the humble paying supporter has suddenly now become so important, why have we (collectively) constantly been treated like sh!te? Just one example is the way fans interest come second to the interests of EFL trophy..
