Make a good politician. There are people in life who actually DO things.Sadly this interview says the owners have not progressed anywhere with a new stadium or training complex and the 'Sticking Plaster ' interview does nothing to convince me our club is achieving anything at all. UWE would have been underway by now.Sadly with the lease nearing its end on our training set-up,they haven't even sorted that!!!!!!!!!!!
Any prospective signing asking to see the Training set up would have to be informed,'We don't actually have anywhere yet but Brighton and Brentford were in this situation before the war!! '
Cleverly done as no-one was asking direct and awkward questions.Last time Mr Wael spoke he waffled on about things happening but couldn't share due to a confidentiality clause.( Still waiting to hear the details.) Hope our next owners are someone who actually DOES things.

Didn't mention fish market when asked about stadium. Not sure why he mentioned Brentford and Brighton and the time it took them to get new stadia, last time I saw us play either of those clubs they weren't look for a stadium and we were, silly comparison.

Didn't mention fish market when asked about stadium. That's a new one on me. How are they connected?

Apologies to those amongst us that still believe in the Owner,Board and Manager.I don't like putting the mockers on Rovers, but I don't believe in the aforementioned anymore.I doubt their ability and their judgement.
All this want for a more 'entertaining way of football',at the expense of a serious promotion challenge.I think this also exposes the bloody mess Rovers are in.I completely disagree with the Board and the Rovers supporters ,that bought into this particular fantasy.
I have a Season Ticket for the few remaining home games, but I can't see me bothering next time, not as things stand. It's becoming an insufferable waste of time.

What an absolute plonker. Nothing to say and he sure said it! I feel sorry for the guy because he is obviously trying to protect an unprotective situation with owners who haven't a clue. Yes, we have to save money, because the owners do not have any going forward - so no new stadium, no new training ground and how on earth will we even survive under this ownership? - please, please, someone come and take the Club over before we end up on the scrap heap.

What's needed is a feasibility study into how you build new training facilities and a spanking new stadium without spending any money....

Don't know why Wael forces him to go public, he never looks comfortable doing this kind of thing, comes across looking like one of those old Blue Peter presenters and leaves you with the strong belief he won't be anywhere near the club when all of his answers given today in the Q & A turn out to be make believe.

No need for any apologies basel - and who would you be apologising to? The only person I can think of who still "believes" is Irenestoyboy. Who is an apologist for Wael from Gasshat. I think pretty much everyone else has woken up to the rather unfortunate truth. Our owners and Board (and now manager) are clueless.

What happened to the feasibility study to redevelop the Mem?
Wael in car crash interview with Twentypence 2.5 years ago asked us to be patient as there were projects in the pipeline.
Another stalling tactic. Nothing against Starnes per se, but this pantomime is another b s propaganda machine which holds as much credibility as one of Hamer's interviews..
We're going nowhere.

As swissgas has suggested- he is just picking up a pay cheque until he announces his retirement. Look at him- he doesn’t give a s**t. There was so much mockery on the other forum of Higgs and posters giving it the big un that we had been taken over by ‘professional’ Jordanian bankers, well, the worm has turned now hasn’t it? As inept as Higgs was I would much prefer to be being run by someone who actually cares about this club and not the absentee landlord and his chief lackey who is looking for one last pay day. Even Hamer came across like he cared more than these two. I can’t wait for ITB now to try and defend the indefensible. The club is dead.

I thought his replies on the football side of the club quite enlightening. The comment about not playing entertaining football for a considerable time clearly suggests that they were unhappy with coughlan despite the league position. I also fouind the stuff about deciding contracts etc interesting. The non footballing stuff was not so informative although reduced losses is quite good news.

I thought it was quite trite to insult everyone’s intelligence by saying that it takes time to change the footballing style. Conveniently glossing over a piss poor performance by the manager and, 18 games in the football is arguably worse than under Coughlan! Not to mention teams change their footballing style all the time and they don’t need an epic losing run to do it. He is trying to gloss over the fact that things on the pitch are as bad as they have been since relegation to the conference and there were no crumbs of comfort that that might change soon. Sheer neglect from this unfit for purpose board.

If we are not going to build the training ground, I do wonder what Dwane plan to do with the land?, are they planning on selling?, it cannot be used for residential purposes so why hold onto?, investment purposes?.

There is a major housing shortage so why could it not be sold or housing or even a new Corona invention hospital the Chinese built one in six weeks.

It was he who lumbered us with the current incumbents. One last parting gift from the previous owner which adds more compelling evidence to why he tops the list of awful owners - relegating us out of the football league should be enough.
