Okay, as usual the forum is full of negativity and criticism. So - from someone who could actually be bothered to turn up: 1. As you all know, the subject of new stadium/training ground was not up for discussion and was not raised by anybody 2. There was a minor whinge about the meeting starting at 5.30 3. It was asked if the club could provide some decent booths for the programme sellers. This will be looked into. 4. The question was asked about the pat downs. Shaun, the new Stadium Manager stated that this is a Police thing and should have been enforced all season - it's to do with the terrorism act and all venues are supposed to do these pat downs. Interestingly, they find several knives each game, so the process obviously works. He has replaced many of the security team and is looking into the stewards, to make sure they are engaged with crowd control and not just watching the games. 5. Someone complained about the time it takes to drive out of the car park after games (lucky guy in my opinion!). Shaun explained that we now have the ability to control the traffic lights at both junctions of Filton Avenue, not sure how, but it's just at the press of a button. 6. The little pavement step in Trubshaw Close (Gardens?) has caused a few problems with people tripping up. No obvious solution. 7. The club will look into the possibility of having parking restrictions around the local streets on matchdays. It was confirmed that several other clubs do this including the BS3 mob apparently. 8. Someone mentioned that he has only been able to buy pasties at 2.45 at 3 games. The Catering Manager confirmed that pies and pasties are cooked/heated centrally and that kiosks are supposed to advise when stocks run low. Several of the kiosk employees have been replaced and it is hoped for better efficiency 9. There will be another season ticket video released in the next few weeks 10. When will the 2020/21 kit be released? Tom Gorringe actually sent in designs to Makron in October and made it clear that the delivery delays will not be tolerated this time around, but he is very much in their hands. Next season is the last one we are contracted with Makron, so I assume if they want to renew the contract they will need to up their game. 12. The under 14 being accompanied by an adult issue is again enforced legally, not just some process the club has decided to annoy us with (blimey I went to Eastville on my own in the Boys Enclosure from about age 8!) 13. Someone moaned about Junior Pirates having sticker books but couldn't get the stickers. Sophie Morgan who runs this area said the stickers can be collected from their hut on matchdays. 14. There was some talk about Junior Pirates having individual membership - I think the reason is to do with the free tickets and avoids any attempts to get multiple free tickets (may be wrong here, so if someone else was at the meeting maybe they could confirm) 15. It was also raised that the club does not do enough to put out good news and a suggestion was made that good news items should be put out 3 times on each forum - website, Facebook and Twitter, as it was suggested by a bloke who used to do PR that you need to do this for good news to sink in.
I'm sure there were more items discussed, but hope this gives a flavour of the meeting. It is true there were only about 40 people there.

Fair play to him for not making tiresome comments about the manager.
Many of those things are plainly being resolved, or are matters beyond Rovers' remit.
One point: who in their right mind walks out of the door to go to football, carrying a knife. Sorry, but Officer Dibble should be involved in every single case.

Well done to everybody involved in catching these lunatics. Hope each and every one is banned for life. It's a game of football, what on earth is going on in their heads?

Further to the feedback released earlier this week in relation to the ticketing procedures, we continue the detailing of responses to the recent ‘Fan’s Survey’ with the feedback highlighting the retail and catering departments at the club.
We have broken down the feedback below into each department, highlighting what the club is doing as action to the points raised, some of which have already started to be implemented.
It’s our ambition to host another ‘Fan’s Forum’ at the end of the season, as a way of gauging progress on the points and topics raised and to discuss new engagement measures moving forward.
Retail
The option to include a ‘click and collect’ facility when ordering items through brfcdirect.com was raised and has since been implemented and is available as an option when choosing a delivery method.
The stocking of kids and baby kits was discussed and it was communicated that this seasons kit is in stock across all sizes from babies up to adults.
The feasibility of a ‘pop up store’ in town was mentioned. The Club has looked into this and permanent facilities would be cost-prohibitive. We are keen to explore pop up options and have contacted local shopping centres for availability and options to look at in the future.
It was mentioned that it would be an idea to explore the concept of stocking and supplying ‘fans t-shirts’, which could be personalised. We are looking into this service to be able to take designs submitted by supporters and print them on-demand in-store. More details will follow on this soon.
Finally, on retail, the stocking of disposable raincoats and golf ranges was signposted. These are currently being looked into.
Catering & Bars
Supporters attending the ‘Fan’s Forum’ enquired about more variety in food offerings and kiosks. We are currently reviewing the catering offering across the stadium and may trial some new options ahead of the end of the season to gauge popularity.
The reasoning behind the change in pasty supplier was asked. Our previous supplier was no longer able to provide a fresh product. Frozen products require a longer cooking time and the new supplier was able to provide products of a high quality, as well as building a purpose-built kitchen facility to allow stock to be cooked on site at a significant investment. Without this, we wouldn’t have been able to serve pasties through the kiosks.
An enquiry was made to see if it would be possible to introduce a system to order food to collect at half-time. We have looked into options for this and continue to look at options used by other clubs to ease the congestion around the busy times on a match day. At present we haven’t found a system for this that we are convinced would improve service, in a cost-effective manner, but we will continue to monitor this situation.
There was a request for more pre and post-match entertainment. We are currently reviewing this area and we will be looking into plans to further develop this and increase the regularity of events moving forward, to build on the success of having live music in the Clubhouse Bar on a number of occasions already this season.
The queuing time in the bars was raised as an issue. We are trialing a new system that you may have seen at other sporting venues, where the pints fill up from the bottom called ‘Bottoms Up’. This will be available in the ‘Thatchers Bar’ for the Sunderland and Ipswich games on a trial basis. In addition to this, we are also trialing two-pint glasses in the ‘Thatchers Bar’, with a view to minimising queuing times.

I think you are missing the most important thing said at the forum, Gorringe announcing that the loss for the year end 2019 is £3.5 million but don't worry he also said year end 2020 it will be only £2 million. I thought the forum was strictly match day experience points, still he's saved us waiting for the accounts to come out at the end of March to discover what the loss is going to be. We are doomed, all doomed.

I wonder what reasons will be given for that huge level as the last reasons given was wasted money in fees towards a stadium it’s incredible how we continue to be losing such huge amounts. we really are doomed.

the loss for the year end 2019 is £3.5 million... year end 2020 it will be only £2 million. Yeah don't worry, a club mortgaged on a £15-20 million freehold is losing only £2 million a year. Jesus Christ.

How very honest of Tom to announce that because the saving of almost half of a £three and a half million loss in one season is quite remarkable, no doubt some of Tom's efforts will help but the decline in support we are seeing recently is surely a negative? But also, as an owner of businesses in several Countries for over 40 years, I know that a culling of staff is often the only, and quickest way to reduce losses and return to profit. However, that has an effect, and while we know of course that there was an attempt in January to sell our striker, will we see in the summer the departure of our most valuable players? It concerns me that our Club should consider that an annual loss of £two million is acceptable and surely even that cannot be sustainable? So what else is in the pipeline? Whilst I find Tom's announcement interesting, I would be further interested to hear what the actual plan is?

So more of your agenda driven misinformation I feel

Fanatical, are we supposed to be impressed by you owning businesses overseas, or in the UK for that matter?
Just checked...nope. Not impressed in this household.

It feels like the ship is sinking, but the Captain is more concerned about the deck chair arrangement. I don't think Wael & Martyn have got that far yet. They were last seen in Homebase debating what colour varnish to put on the deckchairs.

Gorringe at the forum did admit he shouldn't have mentioned the accounts. He could be stacking deck chairs back at Brighton next for dropping them in it, especially with early bird season tickets going on sale soon and cash needed by the club.
