Don't wish to take the moral high ground, as the irony would be excruciating. However, the level of back-biting on here does no-one any favours. Ken Masters, Supporters Club, Share Scheme History, the Club Historian does not make much difference to the fact: Off the field, we are a Club in crisis. 2 directors. No communication. Disputes held in public. KM affair is just another symptom of the malaise, which is sapping the morale of the wider fan-base. Let us agree on that and move on. Agreed. The owners really need to stop all the secrecy and smoke and mirrors and publish their vision of where they want to take the club and how they plan to get there and take people with them. We all know there is no plan but still. Regardless of the ins and outs and rights and wrongs of this sorry episode both the SC and FC look foolish and amateurish.

Carry on up the Mem? I can see it now Kenneth William's as Wael Charles Hawtrey as G Chappell. Sid James as Tom Gorringe Hattie Jaques as Graham Coughlan. Bernard Bresslaw as Nick Day 2018?

gashead1981, who I think is a mod, at the other place (and I think I understand the lightly tortured English in the italicised piece)...
The fruit market site was offered to us in 2001. It’s hardly new information and Ken and Hamer were the lead architects of trying to get it done having had an introduction to the construction parties following the collapse of UWE.
Thing is they were trying to position themselves to also have an executive role in running the club once that had carried on. It would appear that pursuit has what’s led a charge against the owners and for him to eventually fall on their own swords.
From the outside looking in they were prepared to give away anything to attain that position so then you have to question whether they are working in their best interests or the clubs.
Then you look at how the SC is being run and you can only see that it has no positive future.

The unfortunate thing is it would appear that it will be in name only as the assets will disappear in the deal.

I think you may have it the wrong way round there.
From reading through this whole thread (which should be submitted for this year's Turner Prize by the way) it seems as though pretty much everyone does agree on this, albeit for different reasons. But 'moving on' for a lot of contributors consists of launching potshots at each other largely based on stuff that happened well over a decade ago now.....

2 things. 'Moving on' for most people actually means just agreeing with them. It's pretty much the same as 'finding the centre ground', that's normally a request for complete capitulation. Too right I'm still moaning about Brain and Masters not doing everything in their power to resist dilution of the SS capital, and I'll continue to do so. Disgraceful behaviour by the pair of them. This isn't about what to do with £50 of unclaimed winnings on the 50/50, we are talking about a million quid of other people's money here!

I agree - I was pointing out that the the 'moving on' ship arguably set sail many years ago. I was mainly referring to the behaviours of certain esteemed SC members on this thread...

It's funny, I've not been that close to Rovers for a while and I'm sat here reading about board splits, directors being banned, the Supporters Club meekly cowering in the background and the team playing sh1t while Phil Mitchell and Max Branning mouth off on Eastenders. Is it still 2006 and if so will Atkins play nine at the back again this week!?

There appears to be a few more other than Hamer and Masters who see supporting a deal as a cheap way to take over a football club. The unfortunate thing is it would appear that it will be in name only as the assets will disappear in the deal. What assets, will there actually be any equity left in the Mem in a year or two? By the time a new stadium is built we'll probably by in negative equity territory.
