Let's pretend, just for a moment that the owners haven't given guarantees and play Kenny's game.
Why is it then Masters that you didn't walk at the same time as BSS?

The bottom line is that Jim Chappell has made a fool of himself with his statement - especially his idiotic knowledge of personal liability and his wild guess at the reasons for Mike Turner's resignation. Enough is enough. JC to resign.. Share Scheme should end SC to be disbanded. Surely time for new Supporters Organisation to be formed and anyone over 40 or with massive ego hiding behind love of the Club should be barred from holding Office. 😂 Please do not respond with virtue signalling based on volunteering. That is not the issue. We will probably need this organisation for our survival and in short, the Old (where were you on a cold Tuesday night?) Guard, are not up to it. great suggestion
I nominate Vaughan, Rex, Bamber as the gang of three maybe with support as Anngas as the voice of reason to create a NEW BRISTOL ROVERS SUPPORT GROUP has a ring to it. Ballot papers being prepared for all new members to join. Subscription pay as much as you like min donation £3. First virtual open meeting at the Mem Sat 4 April at 3pm. Looking forward already to taking this new organisation forward.
No re-hash of our SC will last 5 mins Mike, that model is dead in the water. This is a challenge for someone from a different generation, it's all YouTube videos, FanTV, Twitter etc now. If someone tries to get a new support group up and running and needs some practical help, or even a little bit of financial support I would be delighted to give a bit of assistance, but this isn't one for people of our age to be heading up.

blimey, they are doubling down! Let's go through their list.... A company director can be held personally liable for losses incurred by a business which are proven to be the result of board decisions, or a failure act properly.
I wonder which one they are thinking of? Or maybe they are trying to hint strongly, without actually saying anything? a director can be held personally responsible by a liquidator if they allowed the company to carry on trading after it became clear that it would go into liquidation.the Insolvency Act 1986 which gives rise to the possibility of directors being made personally liable for the company’s debts, the Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974, and the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.
I think they are only hinting at the first of these Acts. The last two would be really ramping it up I imagine this statement is to clarify Jim's comment as to why does not feel he could recommend that anyone apply for the vacant directorships. And also to support Ken in his decision to resign. If, as Ken says, he has not been party to any board meetings for over a year, I imagine he is in the clear in terms of liability. He can simply claim to have had no knowledge of decisions or improper failure. That, however, does not leave him in the clear in terms of his responsibilities to the supporters he was elected to represent. So legally blameless, perhaps, but morally not so imo.

Bear in mind the guy has feelings and needs a little compassion for trying his best. As I keep saying easy to snipe harder to actually help a group. Standing out in the pissing rain selling 50/50 tickets is not easy I can assure you and everyone else. KEEP THE FAITH UTG.

I've stood in rain and sun selling tickets and programmes, going all the way back to Eastville where I sold scratch cards in the stands, rushed to the SC shop when the teams came out, handed over the takings and then ran back to the Tote End, usually missing about the first 10 mins of the game, but I had no money, it was the only way to get in, so I'll take no lectures from you thank you.

Sorry, are you saying that someone from the FC just got it into their head that it would be a good idea to exclude our elected representative from Board meetings and ban him from all areas of the stadium where people with any influence on running the club congregate, for no reason whatsoever? Please tell me who is left from before the Al-Qadi's arrived who has any influence in running the Club? at Board level? Supporters? Publicity? Stadium Management? Program? Team Management? Auditors? There appears to me to be a pattern, but not to you? And therein lies the issue.
From the narrative of the clique that is around the Supporters Club and Presidents Club the Nick Higgs era was a kind of golden period of fan engagement because they had unprecedented access provided they towed the party line and drank the Kool Aid that everything was going to be alright in the end. Backing Nick Higgs was representing Supporters as far as they were concerned because the sun shone out of his behind. Therefore everything that has subsequently happened has been terrible for fans representation because these people now find themselves on the outside looking in - all I can say is welcome to the club, thanks to your failure to effectively represent or even give voice to fans concerns over the years that's how the rest of us have felt for 15 years!
This only has credibility as an internal logic between those who accept these ridiculous assumptions and never engage with people outside that limited bubble. For the vast majority of Gasheads I know the Nick Higgs era was a total and complete catastrophe and a total betrayal of the fanbase with a permanent stench of paranoia and incompetency. Yet the SC never once intervened, never once represented the concerns of Rovers fans and went along as happy cheerleaders for the board as we spiralled into total incompetence that peaked with non-league status.
I couldn't be happier if every single one of the people who acquiesed in that farce were cleaned out. In fact clearing house would be one of the few things I'd give the AQ's any credit for. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with the blundering incompetence and paranoid cronyism of that era either. There is absolutely nothing positive to come out of that period at all rather than the decay of the club and total delusion among those cheerleaders for Higgs. Even the AQ's are Nick Higgs baby - he doesn't escape responsibility for selling to them here. It completes his failure.
To now try and desperately re-position themselves as the supporters champions fighting against a malevolent ownership doesn't just lack credibility, it's comical in its level of hypocrisy. They've had their chance to represent the fans to the board and they didn't do it - instead they represented the board to the fans for Donkeys years. To which the standard response is - who is going to represent the fans if they don't? Well I imagine a lack of effective fan representation on the board will look exactly the same as it has done for the last 15 years to most of us.

We've all done our bit Mike, we all want what's best for Rovers. I told Jim what would happen if he followed his intended path, he replied, and I'll have to paraphrase here, ''Don't you worry about that, I know how to handle Dunford and those other Directors''. He didn't want my help or advice. I keep saying, I like Jim, he's a nice guy and a decent Man, but he's caught between a rock and a hard place, the SS exists and is political by definition, he doesn't and never did want the SC to be involved in FC politics.

At least with no footy on we have this never-ending soap opera to keep us entertained. I'm hooked. Like an even more sh*t comedy version of Eastenders. Unpicking this web of intrigue, farce, back stabbing, misdirection, smoke and mirrors, rank incompetence, deluded fantasies and shattered dreams will keep future club historians busy for decades - except there probably won't be a club. F*ck sake. :-) They've stopped filming new episodes of Eastenders and Coronation Street. Well done Bristol Rovers for stepping up to the plate and delivering this long-running sh*t show. Soap operas eh? Some of the plot-lines are barely believable... posting as someone who had no idea of this side of things, it really is incredible isn’t it. I do agree with the presidents club where they say we are no longer a family club though as I have been saying that for a long time. We are now at such an high level of debt that I just can’t see us carrying on unless we do have new owners or owner and who really know what they are doing and not just using a club as an hobby and for the kudos of it, even if 3rd tier. I imagine this must make for a pleasant distraction for WAQ as it seems to be being talked about much more than the incredibly large debt that has come, with new ownership

apologies must admit I cannot recall you ever saying anything about that. Not everybody shouts about what they have done even when they haven't done it, unlike Ken Masters. That reminds me of the only time I ever met him. I was involved with a boys football team and at the time Peter Aitken used to get such teams to appear on the pitch before the game have a tour of the stadium, meet the players type of thing. During this tour , I heard a man who I now know to be Ken, ask our star striker (who was about 10 at the time) if he knew who he was. Our little goal machine who was more interested in joining the rest of the team for pre match chicken and chips didn't know but Ken continued that he was a director at the club and did he know what a director did. I managed to rescue our man before he got a full on lecture about Ken's exalted position within the club, but I thought at the time it was a bit cringey. That star striker of ours did go on to become a pro with Bristol City although I have no proof that the two incidents are connected In the interests of balance a mate of mine who used to travel to a lot of the games with the WSM branch of the supporters club , apparently Ken was pretty active with the branches outside of Bristol, attending meetings etc, and my mate spoke quite highly of him.

You don't want to trust me running anything. I'd be off down the Gloucester Road pissing away the 50/50 takings as soon as the final whistle blew. I don't know if you saw my earlier post asking you to 'sell' me supporters club membership, but I was serious, sell it to me, why should I rejoin?

according to gashead1981 at the other place....
Chris Brown on facebook that Wael has been reported to the EFL by the SC and the PC to be investigated under the fit and proper persons rules.....
I have had this confirmed as being true as well.
if true, and I believe that CB has form for being reliable on some high-profile club-related matters, it beggars belief, doesn't it?

I agree with BG 100%.
The young are the ones with the ideas and enthusiasm to generate a new Supporters Organisation.
It's a different world. The like of Masters is dead. Just waiting for Jim Chappell to fall on his plastic sword.
