Why don't they call a Board meeting and vote on a resolution to remove Ken from the Board then notify Companies House like they did with Mike Turner ?

Why don't they call a Board meeting and vote on a resolution to remove Ken from the Board then notify Companies House like they did with Mike Turner ? This apparently is fake news and had no basis in any truth

Why don't they call a Board meeting and vote on a resolution to remove Ken from the Board then notify Companies House like they did with Mike Turner ? I would think that will probably follow anyway Swiss. Turner's departure was probably orderly whereas by the sound of this the ban has only just been decided. I should imagine they have had a formal or impromptu meeting and decided that enough is enough. Philton said there is a mechanism in place so I would expect the BRSC to have to appoint someone else. Aside from the Share scheme aspect how many times have you seen this happen in smaller companies? Egos and politics nearly always get in the way of good business!

Egos and politics nearly always get in the way of good business! that seems to imply that this is in some way getting in the way of good business. If so, it's the first intimation on this thread I think

I wonder if the board/Dwayne have something contentious planned and don't want any possibility of it leaking out before it is a done deal ?
I agree with the comment about the club being like a clowns car,it really does seem to be falling apart.
A win in the cup would cheer everyone up.

Assuming this has been rumbling on for a while now, it makes Masters' and Bradshaw's appearance on the players coach in Reading services after the Ipswich game even more strange. There didn't appear to be anyone else from the club with them, but I probably wouldn't have recognised them anyway if there were.

no reason has been given... The reason is that he leaks like a sieve, surely?

We are the football club equivalent of a collapsing clown car. 4:30am, dark, cold, I read this and have not stopped laughing, utter brilliance!....

What on earth has Boycie got that these owners could possibly want or need?

[What on earth has Boycie got that these owners could possibly want or need? I wondered that too. He was lording it with the players like he was part of the establishment. I thought his formal ties with the club ended a while ago 🤔

I thought his formal ties with the club ended a while ago 🤔 He did receive a large sum in loan and bond repayments when Dwane Sports took over so perhaps he will be in a position to invest in a revamped club and is “keeping his hand in” for that reason.

Egos and politics nearly always get in the way of good business! that seems to imply that this is in some way getting in the way of good business. If so, it's the first intimation on this thread I think A business cannot properly function unless everyone is working together and going in the same direction. I think we can safely say that in the last few years there have been factions and groupings within the club that have been pulling in different directions and trying to undermine each other. You only have to look at the misinformation that has been firing around on here fed by different club individuals to posters. The 'in-the-knowers' who fire out titbits of information (mostly unfounded in fact) which has created dissent and in fighting amongst fans. Remember 'it's happening in October...' You saw how well that went creating friction and anger amongst fans trying to drive a wedge between the different factions. It of course hasn't been helped by the lack of direction and information from the owners. I have seen it many times in business and what has been a good business/product/idea/merger/ etc has fallen apart or even been destroyed because of egos, misinformation, in house fighting and malicious actions. An example: I was working with a company that agreed to a merger with a competitor that would have propelled the resultant company into the top 10 in their line of business. The merger would have created jobs in production with cost savings being made through natural wastage. The whole deal worth 10s of millions fell apart at the last after a fortune had been spent on due diligence, legals and hundreds of hours of negotiations when the two boards fell out over who would have top roles, and what the their titles would be. The Chairmen, MDs and FDs had a major bust up in a meeting that was supposed to dot the i's and cross the t's. There have been too many people over the years who have either tried to protect their own positions, defend previous regimes, or undermine the current one. We can see the results in the bunkering down of the current board, whats left of it... Something needs to be done or to happen soon. I am not holding my breath.

Agreed chesh, but given the situation it seems to me that WAQ had little choice And, as noted above, I've not heard anyone mention a downside of this move

I think your merger story is so nearly the norm that brokers who do this try to sort the top jobs very early doors, almost before they discuss 'business'. Or so I was told by a fella who does it

What on earth has Boycie got that these owners could possibly want or need? To be fair to Boycie, he does actually get to a few away games and I imagine it's easy enough for him to hitch a lift with the players. When I was going here there and everywhere with Rovers, he was the one board member you could pretty much really on being at some northern outpost on a cold Tuesday night.
