Or basically the Radio Bristol Post match phone in.
Same every match, both ring up, Ollie sounds like he wants to be a journalist and Terry would moan if we were on a 25 match winning streak.
Along with gaschat and FB its something I'm going to void in the future and makes me even more grateful for this forum.
Of course I could ring radio Bristol, its crossed my mind but I'm not the most confident. But then if I'm not going to I guess I have nothing to complain about.

The big question is when will Ollie's voice break?
The number of contributors to that programme (City and Rovers) are no more than 10. My favourite is John, the out of breath City supporter who phones up from railway stations after City away games.
I phone up very occasionally. I was the first person to speak to Steve Hamer after takeover. He refused to 100% commit to UWE.
The trouble with Radio Bristol is that the coverage is very good, but the analysis is poor. Keith Brookman - giving it to us straight!!! 😂😂😂

We are spoilt really in terms of radio coverage.
If we were in London, Manchester, lpool, Midlands.... I presume chances of live match coverage would be pretty slim.

Agree with the posts so far, but isn't it indicative of journalism generally? Anodine and gutless? Peter Hitchen recently commented that if another Watergate happened, the papers would no longer expose it. Sadly BCFC are the biggest club with the bigger fan base in the area, so RadBris and the BP suck up to them. 20man has had issues with Rovers in the past. So their coverage is to be expected. Ollie is well spoken but comes out with platitudes he's heard around him, never any real original thoughts (yes, he'd make a brilliant journalist!). Terry is always good for a laugh. Trouble is, from RadBris point of view, nice and safe to have them on.

The real issue is that Geoff Twentyman wants to be everyone's mate and football fans are not like that anymore. The GC interview was "frustrating".
It's like living with 2 parallel universes on Radio Bristol. You know that their analysis is so far removed from what others are thinking, but there is not enough participation to reflect that.
Their reporters are pretty spineless - afraid of upsetting the coverage apple-cart.

Both Weal and Hamer have given car crash interviews to Geoff where he ripped them to peices.

I often think that Ollie would be better at commenting on the Royals rather than a football match!

I often think that Ollie would be better at commenting on the Royals rather than a football match! I think he (young Ollie) does a fair job; and when driving home from games that I have watched I find no untruths. Unlike on here, or the other place when people comment on various players contributions in matches. In 20Man's defence he of course suffers from the over compensation caused by his will to be unbiased in Bristol after many years playing for the Gas.

And there was me thinking this might be a thread about Ian Holloway and Terry Cooper...

If we were in any of those Cities I wouldn't care less as I wouldn't have used my pocket money to go along Stapleton Rd and stand on the Tote End.

Someone who misses maybe 2 or 3 Rovers' home matches each 10 years being called a glory hunter. Ees off is ead.

I think 20p does an excellent job, including asking the tough questions in the right way when required and going a bit easier on callers who aren't professionals

20man has had issues with Rovers in the past. Can you say any more? Sorry to disappoint you but only things I thought were common knowledge. I believe he and Vaughn Jones wanted to be joint managers when Francis left. Then got his contract paid up. Later had very short spell as assistant manager to Ollie. Just all suggests we might not be his favourite Club.

GT has become a pretty decent interviewer, he didn't go easy last time he interviewed Wael.
My fav caller was a female city fan a few years ago, she started criticising some of their players performances, GT asked her something and her response was along the lines of, "I don't know, I never go to the games, I always go shopping on Saturdays".
