Well played Cam Hargreaves. Not sure about the system, looked like 4 3 3. Nicholls not suited to that, and was very poor. JCH, either injured or not interested! Bennett main contribution, arguing with two of the coaching staff. See no point in having him in the match day squad anymore. Saying that proper cup tie at times, enjoyable. Why no red card for the penalty as was last man? Nichols is a disgrace to the shirt. Not only is he not good enough to play professional football, he doesn't even try. He has the physique of a child. I have never seen someone with so little ability being given such a prolonged "chance to prove" himself. This joke is never-ending. It's not funny. It never was. Please please please just go. Message for Mr Garner. Perhaps we could do a little better starting with eleven players who actually all look like they give a f*ck. Reply from Ben: "message received and understood".

I thought he was brilliant compared to the player he replaced on 63 minutes, he got stuck in with some good tackling and managed to pass the ball to blue shirts at times. It looked as thoughwe were playing a championship side today. Roll on Wednesday UTG And another blinding performance by Bennett. Well I thought a very not interested performance. Perhaps he is trying to force Rovers to pay up his contract so he can join Swindon.

Not sure if an attempt to; 1. Pacify fans as to why he has not signed. 2. Tell Rovers, you need to help Swindon t get this deal done. 3. Give Bennett a wakeup call. 4. Being mischievous, suggesting Rovers pay really high wages.
Just all leads to more speculation. Is it all a test of Bennett, do you want money or do you want to play first team football.

I think it’s brinkmanship & although Swindon may not be able to pay his full wage, I’d bet they can do a lot better than 25%. Wellens is chancing it, I think ?

I "think" (can't be bothered to check) that Bennett is allegedly on £4k a week (ref: gashead1981 Mod at the other place). So given what we've all seen... the chances of swindle paying much more than 25% of his suggested wage at Rovers would be pretty slim.

Done a bit of digging on swinedon and they have a couple of players on 2-3K but I obviously cannot corroborate that but I think that a grand a week is being cheeky but I have also been led to believe we have not paid a few people, payroll included. Hani has made it clear no more money from family. I know it’s all speculation, presumption & assumption but based on as much information as I can get. I guess we will see, hopefully sooner than later, if Wael will use his own money to service the clubs ongoing expenses. I just wish he would clarify a few things, by making some kind of statement. His way of leading is not inspiring us & leads to this speculation. emperorsuperbus first got me sniffing but his post seemed to go over peoples heads. We don’t need to know detail but that the club is safe and that he will do the right thing, for the club over his own wet dream

We don’t need to know detail but that the club is safe and that he will do the right thing, for the club over his own wet dream I'm really not sure what a statement would achieve, I think it's gone beyond that and the situation is beyond repair. I've spent some time listening to and re-watching numerous interviews he's given (because I'm sad) and he contradicts himself more times than the bible. Bluster, buzzwords, a sprinkling of meaningless cliches. Never anything of substance because behind the sharp suit and the easy going man of the people routine, there is nothing there. This won't end well.

<Hani has made it clear no more money from family. >
Can you point me to where he publicly states this please, or in fact where it's made clear that he "holds the pursestrings".

That's exactly what i heard. 4k a week. Highest earner. Basically who DC was referring to in his interview the other day

One of the two 'higher midfield' / 'support either side to the striker' appeared to cope much better with the role than the other... Supporter high in the East Stand moaned about CH throughout, having apparently no complaint at all about TN. Perhaps you're right though, that the plan was 3 4 2 1 (not 3 4 1 2 as I said) with a two of CH playing inside left and TN walking inside right. Strange that. Very much in a minority. Most people around me in the East Stand had him down as a potential MoTM for that game. Struggled to get into the game in the next match though. Inside left and inside right (slightly withdrawn) is a good description. I'm sure that's the way we have been lining up. Difficult to say when out of possession (which is most of the game!) when we're spending energy chasing after the ball.
