First iFollow match for me. Christmas dinner sandwiches at the ready. Feeling a 2-0 Gas win The only thing that I can be happy about, given I now have no immediate family, is not sitting at a table and eating the traditional Christmas dinner plus days of various turkey based dishes. It’s enough to put you off of the awful taste, for life. By the sounds of it, you didn’t miss much. Always when we have a decent crowd ffs ! Enjoyed the sandwiches more than the game 😭😭

Just got back! Oh deary me. We got what we deserved. Fair play to Wimbledon who showed how to play us in second half, push onto us, hassle us in possession and pass and move...this result has been coming for a while. I'm not going to criticise too much because of our punching above weight place in the division, needless to say though Keeps, Leahy, Sercs and Abu were ok today.....I thought Rollin was lucky to stay on pitch with elbow led challenge already on a yellow missed by ref. Ok, Garner you got your work cut out because no creativity again and slow, lethargic attacking football no tempo and poor decision making of the last ball cost us. Disappointing....I thought the players would all be up for it in front of a new boss. They weren't, in fact the fans' reflection of that with library atmosphere. Well done, Wimbledon, they deserved their win. BG, over to you, as you have some work to do on winning over fans.. Always seems the way, when we get a larger & expectant crowd. We had a good atmosphere last game yet so many have said it was p155 poor

Garner out ! Big crowd many first time this season fans (doubt they will be encouraged back next Year)...driving rain, wet seats and frankly poor entertainment that's what Boxing day matches are all about.
JCH tried his best Craig and Rollin were both poor and as usual little creativity the Wimbledon keeper had a comfortable afternoon while the Fin did very well again as did Upson.
A forgettable afternoon at the Mem.
Hope JCH does not depart to Middlesbrough/Derby/or wherever as the thought of Victor filling his boots fills me. with dread. Happy Christmas

Would like someone to show replay of Leahy tackle for the disallowed goal so he could explain his decision. Looked a good tackle at the time and even more so on replay.. Shame we have to acept these showmen. There is a fantastic photo of that tackle and it is clearly evident that it wasn’t a foul but a superb, ball winning tackle ! Bloody bloody bloody refs & linos

Happy Christmas it was one of those, reminds of the phrase football, bloody hell. Where tables don’t matter, it’s 11 against eleven, and no matter who you are playing you need to be on it and make it go your way, and even then opponents need luck in big moments to mug you for the win. If you look at it not just on team basis but individual basis the form thing is even more stark, the guys on it and mom last week don’t get into the game, it’s just improbable to be at best all the time. the positive can be the deficits of squad, team and tactic were flashing for scout, owner manager in the winter gloom. The team needs to be a blend, Ogogo for Clark is not like for like, though Ogogo tried to be that midfield linking attack runner, wether a player is adept at finding pockets of space is intrinsic to them, just like everybody can’t be a fox in a box. It’s innate. From my position we had, due probably to dons 5 at the back play for sets game plan, a lot of position particularly at feet of our central defenders, but it required more movement ahead of them to make constructive use of that that possession. we were playing 3 5 2, dons, 5 3 2, we didn’t use our possession to link to attack very well, nor get the ball wide quickly enough, but some credit to opponents who didn’t look bad on the day and used their game plan well to nullify us.

The main difference for me, from the previous games this season, was that our luck finally ran out under sustained pressure - we didn't manage to ride our luck in front of our goal as we had in the past.
Another difference was we actually played some nice passing football in the first quarter of the game. Although we didn't really get anywhere with it.
