Fred Wedlock used to teach at my Primary School (Elm Park, Winterbourne) before going full time on the folk/stand-up circuit. Fun fact. Fred Wedlock was at school with my Dad, and played a set at my Dad's 60th birthday party. There were many candidates for the role of Oldest Swinger in Town present Despite his appalling footballing judgement, as noted above, Mr Wedlock was the nicest of chaps

It’s him. Asked on Facebook. He is totally grey now but still a lovely human being Unless you're a Celtic fan! I would not have recognised him at all from that pic. For me it was immediate as I see him often. Been a friend and great postie for many years. His is the only face I did recognise
