Only a win at MK Dons on 21 September but a draw last time out against Burton. GC and his backroom staff's former Club. Our last home league win was also against MK Dons on 12 October.

The form book often goes out of the window when sides play Rovers. Currently 0-2 to the Shrimpers.

Absolutely shocking first half, why has Kilgour gone to the centre of defence?, could easily be 0-4, Southend playing like the Home team.

Again, we can moan all we like but this team has an uncany knack of finding a way to win. No one seems to think we are for real, the manager remains largely unloved but yet here we are in 5th after nearly 20 games.

It wasn't long ago i'd have killed for back to back league wins but it just registers a light shrug around here. Look on the bright (5th placed) side!! UTG!!

Truly dreadful first half, lucky, in fact very lucky that it was only 2-0.
Genius manager came up with a master plan for the 2nd half, hit the ball high down the middle, and, um, that's it.
JCH with sensational control wins penalty, then Southend implode and stop doing everything that was causing us problems through the first half.
Second goal shows exactly why Nichols needs to be shown the door ASAP, I have no idea what he's doing or trying to do, wrong side of the ball, again, one leg in the air, off balance, so Abu just steps up and does his job for him.
Final word for the manager. If he was to just stand there watching that first 45 mins and do nothing about it at pretty much any club the crowd would be screaming for his head.

They'll be looking at that kicking themselves, but that's not our problem. I just can't help but think that we could win most games 2-1 or lose the exact same game 4-0. Basically, we aren't very good, but most of the time manage to drag the opposition down to our level somehow. For anybody not there today, our first attempt on goal of any type was after about 33 mins when their keeper picked up a back pass from probably 40 yards away, so even then we didn't actually create the opportunity. I can only remember 1 other attempt in the first half, and that wasn't really a shot, it was just a flick towards their goal. We were shocking.

"We were shocking".if thats how it ends every game....... then we would [mostly] all be scratching our heads and wondering "just how"?
