It's hard to argue with the fact that we keep finding ways to win.

After listening to the sercombe goal, 35 yards and wonder goal comments on here, I had to find a clip. It's an average goal, about 23 yards out, nothing wondrous about it, just had to lift and keep on target as keeper nowhere. Rad Bristol comm is a joke. Your point on the yards got me thinking. Brookman said “from 30, 35 yards” which I personally think is different to “yards out” but I might be wrong. One is number of yards from goal line measured perpendicularly. The other is the distance the ball travelled before it crossed the goal line. So if you scored from the corner of the penalty area (as opposed to the middle in the D) and it crossed in the exact middle of the goal that’s 22 yards out but the ball has travelled 28.5 yards which is much more impressive. Taking the second definition and looking at the replay Sercs was at least 5 yards further back from the edge of the D (22 yards - bear in mind camera angle) so that’s 27 yards but he hit it in line with the edge of the area and it crossed the line in about the middle of the goal so that’s 35 yards. (27 by 22 triangle) Happy to be corrected but on this one I think Keith got it spot on by the distance travelled by the ball to cross the line definition

just seen these. Looks like a great fun game, with some fairly dreadful defending the ref seems to have had a lot of decisions to make. He did well with the advantage for the Ogogo goal (no, I haven't got a stutter), though we might have been saying something different if it hadn't worked out of of those where you now wish you'd been there

For the advantage he played, though, he deserves a knighthood.

The look on the Shrewsbury players faces, when Ogogo scored is just priceless. I can only imagine what they must have felt like, after pegging us to a draw. Great stuff

Could understand why it kicked off a bit after that.

Rovers players accused the Shrews player of diving, given they they were 7 goals and 1 disallowed goal after that early incident it's hard to say that decision changed the outcome of the game.

The guy was looking to go down under any contact but we were clearly struggling with the defender the wrong side of the ball and any player on either side would have done the same because it's such a vulnerable position. Players often acuse other players of diving to try and cover a decent penalty claim. Definitely a stroke of luck for us but you're right that they can hardly complain it was a game changer.
