If the pool is still open this Sunday coming, that will be what I'm going to do. I will then do it again when it is rearranged. You're a nutter.

Did the official swim last night, 2 days earlier that the revised date, as the pool is now closed. 1 hour 46 minutes, my best time since training started π This after having done a full distance swim on Thursday night too. My arms, shoulder and back have seized up today!
Thank you once again to every single person, many of who I don't even know, for your messages, support and incredibly generosity. You humble me.
Stay safe good people. UTG.

I'm just out on the bike. Stay safe and keep up the exercise!

There are countless billions of the lycra crowd in Bristol, which always strikes me as weird given the hills. I'm looking at open water swimming, but not in either of those options or in the Feeder. π

Itβs private members but Iβd imagine itβs not expensive

That's Henleaze Lake, KP. Private members place and a waiting list longer than at Asda for bog roll. I was a member for years in the 80s when their membership criteria wasn't so exclusive. No chance now especially living the wrong side of the river for the last 23 years.
I'll stick to my hour's walk, rowing machine and lifting the biscuit tin π
Stay safe all.

I used to sing with gasworks choir and you got free membership as part of that but, because I never really fit in with the mainly non Bristolian members, none would tell me. My voice was considerably better than all other males and this rankled with most of the choir. When I left I was near enough begged to reconsider. Seems many of these groups are full of non Bristolian folk and I got a lot that did have a giggle about my accent. Bunch of snobs would not harm to have your name on the list though mate. Time does really fly so worth a shot as I see it
