No report today I'm afraid as due to illness I missed my first match of the season and an unusual win at Rochdale. Perhaps somebody who was there can do a report for me!!

Rovers scored 4 goals in 25 minutes across 2 games without JCH, or Nichols.
The end of season table may show the importance of last week's equaliser with 4 pts out of 6 and Bolton winning their 2nd game in a row against Fleetwood made that defeat not look so bad.
Momentum is everything in football as Liverpool continue to show. Without last week's comeback would we have won this week? Possibly not, confidence would have been low. That draw v Pompey was celebrated like a win.
Well done today Gas. Really good result

Strange game that. Our two early goals seemed to knock the stuffing out of Vale and they stood ball watching after that as we dictated the pace. Our formation looked to have confused them a bit. Their goal just before halftime gave them momentum and they bombarded us second half with wave after wave of quick passing attacks but we kept them at bay with a combination of great defending, gutsy determination, superb goalkeeping and their lack of edge in the box. It was all a bit schoolboy frantic and their players looked knackered and a bit deflated come the end. I enjoyed watching what I thought was a very lively and entertaining game.

Only listened to second half on radio, seemed like the Rovers goalie should me man of the match. Nice to seee Mr OG scoring for us regularly, it shows the lads are applying pressure in the right places.

Totally agree with you and I was there as well. Would only add that Dale created numerous good opportunities. But they didn't take them! Every time but one they blew it with crap final balls or wild shooting. And some fine keeping from Jakko.

Jakko definitely MoM. Some great saves there. He's got a presence about him in the box like all good goalkeepers.

I briefly thought about writing a report, but I can't do better than this

With Bromley sun 10 and Swindon Weds 13 to come at home ...looks like Sunderland 16 will be postponed due to International call ups we can maintain our recent good record.

Knee injury, according to Graham Coughlan. He implied that the decision to omit him from the Rochdale match was partly down to preventing longer-term damage.
