Regarding deon moore,if he could not get on the bench tuesday despite injuries and no big man available you have to wonder about his future at the club. He might be injured of course.

Any threat of postponement? It was wet all week few weeks back but the pitch perfect. Windy today as well. I agree there will be a lot of lava thrown if Nichols starts, because if he was a far better player than he is but his form as dire as this a manager would still need to take him out the firing line. Clarke did have an awful game on Tuesday but I felt that was down to lack of fitness. Again question for the manager, do you play an unfit Clarke for that reduced performance and leave a fit bennet or others on bench? He was passed fit to play but had a poor game like the whole team. Where are you getting this "unfit" stuff from?

Are Ellis and Lee Brown likely to play for them today? Got a bad feeling about today. To be fair though, my myopia about the manager doesn't help. Brown started Tuesday, Ellis unused sub. Word is that Marquis is working very hard but lacking service. He usually scores against us.

Like gogo slow to get to the player last season but good this season now match fitter, Clarke has a similar game needing match fit mobility. If sercs wasn’t ruled out would Clarke have come straight back in in your opinion?

Sercombe,Little and Nichols on bench. We have conceded a penalty!!!!!!!!!!!!
9' Goal! Bristol Rovers 0, Portsmouth 1. Gareth Evans (Portsmouth) converts the penalty with a right footed shot to the bottom right corner.
35'.No shots on target yet.

Why have an academy when the strikers can't get past a first team striker who has scored 3 goals in 80 matches.

Great strike from the Portsmouth defender to give us a point!. A much improved performance which got even better when Sercombe came on, worth my 5 quid just to see the x2 fantastic reaction saves Jaakkola made in the first half which in truth kept us in the game, enjoyed that!.

Ogogo was immense. One of the best performances I can remember from anybody in a Rovers' shirt, he was formidable.
If that's a penalty then we should have had at least 2 in the second half.
Couple of mins before the penalty one of their guys threw himself on the floor screaming, so the officials had fair warning, but still fell for it.
Most unfit referee I've seen for many years. Ran a box about 20 meters wide and 20 meters into each half, only left that area if he absolutely had to. Was puffing and gasping for breath. The thing about that is that, as anybody who has ever played sport or taken part in any kind of athletics will tell you, if you are on the edge like that it's not possible to think clearly.
Always nice to shut up one of the most arrogant and self-entitled groups of supporters, hope they are all thoroughly miserable and get soaked on the way home.

Our keeper was mam of the match by a country mile.
How come no minutes silence for death of Rovers legend Stuart Taylor ?
How come Ellis Harrison was not booked for kicking ball away ?

No i dont think he would have brought clarke back ahead of ogogo, upson or sercombe had sercombe been fit.

Our keeper was mam of the match by a country mile. How come no minutes silence for death of Rovers legend Stuart Taylor ? How come Ellis Harrison was not booked for kicking ball away ? What did the club say when you contacted them and asked what the arrangements were to honour Stuart's memory today? Ref Ellis. The referee was out on his feet, he couldn't really keep up. Jogging over and spending a good 30 seconds talking to our manager looked to me to be more about him having a rest than anything else. Desperate shortage of people willing to do the job, obviously. What's a mam of the match? Are you saying that he's effeminate, that he's a matriarchal figure or maybe that you think he's running a house of ill repute from between the sticks?

Just got back!
Had good old drink with some of the Pompey boys....man, have they got problems? Keep playing centre forwards in defence, jacket tactically inept and every time they bring on Ellis at the end of the match there's a goal......!......they weren't wrong on last one! Haha!
Okies.....this is my summary: 80 minutes of sh*t. We carved out a result from two set pieces poorly defended and most importantly, heart.
Heart and endeavour won us a point in this match, when I saw a better mid and forward play from them, than us. I thought their number 26 was what we needed, strong in box to box pushing forward and supporting. And their number 4, dominant.
We looked ponderous, slow, predicable, no tempo in attack, too narrow cutting in from flanks losing the ball, and a few key players I thought played poorly.....Ollie, Davies and Leahy significantly.
Ollie...?.... what's happened? Davies caught out of position, ball watching and no threat at set pieces.. Leahy I can't remember seeing tackle or block once, just backtrack and ball watch..
Abu had a brilliant match, everywhere and fantastic sometimes last ditch tackles along with some great breaking down movements in mid....his booking was baffling to me, but then again so was alot of the decisions ref made including pen(?) Wtf?
Jak keeps kept us in match. Alfie a couple of misplaced passes but got his head on most, and cleared loads. Rodman worked socks off and took his goal well. Front two worked hard but all huff and puff and lacked the penetration and dominance we sorely needed.
Craig? I saw him try hard. Drum everyone up. Head into Thatcher's End when two players threatened which was good....but.... what was he thinking around their second goal? I thought he was poor on Tues, easily out run at one point and definitely culpable for second goal. Today he is subbed.... you can argue for tactics (switch to 4-4-2).....
.....is GC slowly getting it? Ollie (captain) subbed. Some say not fit. Craig (captain) subbed.
I think we got out of jail today. I think if GC has to wait for 70 mins to bring on Sercombe, and rightly took off Ollie, it took too long to revert to 442. When we were screaming for shoring up of flanks and defence, it helped push Rodman forward....he seems to be our only bone fide flank threat and made himself a nuisance in last 10 mins much like Bodin did back in the day.
So....well played Pompeii.... I'll take a draw when not deserved for a change, even though their conceded equaliser was a bit of a poLAVA..
