Why don't we play RODMAN up front. He has done it before. He can do all the things Nichols cant (ie head the ball and hit the ball hard)

Because by inference you were saying the al.qadis had spent a lot of their own money and I was disputing the veracity of that statement As I said, you've started with your own conclusion and decided what was being said based on that. I have no idea what the source of the funding Rovers' owners are using is, but I think that a personal guarantee has been given to cover any losses, any more than that I'm afraid I can't help you with. I'm not going in to a dissection of every word we've exchanged on this thread, it's too tedious to even contemplate. All I'll say is that it sounds as if you have something on your mind and are looking for an opportunity to say it. You dont know when they have stated they are using their own money to support the losses but it is done as a loan not a gift.even you should comprehend that

Reading Padstow and Bambi having the same argument across two threads. This is my Friday night?

Reading Padstow and Bambi having the same argument across two threads. This is my Friday night? It's not even an argument. He's just pretending that I've stated that I know the source of the funds the owners are using, I haven't, but he doesn't seem to be sober enough to work that out. Then, on the other thread he may well be right in saying that the owners are applying interest to all debt, I don't know, so asked him to show the relevant bit from the accounts. He hasn't, yet, but he may be off dealing with that right now, who knows, who cares. As you say, Fridays used to be so much better, Love Thy Neighbour followed by The Black & White Minstrel Show, then Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning to round things off. And not a Snowflake in sight.

Why is it that to criticise those who gave Nichols abuse Tuesday means that you're a Nichols apologist and that you think he should be in the team despite his gross lack of goals over his 2 1/4 years at the Gas.
Its possible to consider the treatment of him abhorrent but want him loaned out to another club immediately.

There's a bit of difference between a striker experiencing a temporary goal drought like most do and one experiencing what appears to be a permanent drought that has so far lasted three years. Holloway should know that. There's just no comparison with Furlong.

Hey tell you what, Mr Holloway... you pay your way into Bristol Rovers as in admission fee or box or into directorship or sponsorship or even a 50/50 ticket instead of accepting freebies, and then that gives you the equal say.
I find it a bit rich anyone whom is ready to critique fans opinion who pay their way. They're entitled to express their opinions as they (and we) help funds the club.
So, basically....f off Ollie. Stick to your beloved qpr as that's the team you wanted to win last season when we played them.
Opinion on TN is largely the same. The decision to play him is what divides the fanbase.

300k, one of the highest earners at the club, 3 goals in 90 appearences what's not to like? I caused some controversy, at the other place, in suggesting TN is suffering from depression. I based it upon his sobbing when substituted and in the way GC cuddled him. I do believe the guy has obvious confidence problems but playing him, each week, is not the best way to deal with it. In my view, I think loaning him out, to a lower league club could just be the panacea that he needs. In my 49 years of going to games, I’ve never heard such vile abuse towards one of our own players. I understand the moaning but NEVER on a match day. I actually got a bit of a rollicking , by an older fella, sat in front on me, yesterday. I was chatting to my mate and saying we were 5h1t and he really got stuck into me. I smiled as he was right, it’s not going to help our players.

We have no idea if he is suffering any form of Mental issues, and you would think that the setup, team Managers, Trainers, Health expert, Doctor that he works with on a daily basis would not be putting him in the firing line if it was so, surely it could not go unnoticed?, his attitude appears to be good behind the scenes according to GC.

I remember Josh Low receiving all sorts of crap from the supporters when he started here. The longer it went on then the more he got. In the end he had to get away but showed the fans what a decent player he was in a different team and atmosphere. TN comes across as a decent guy; booing doesn’t help anyone. He does however need to overcome his mental block stopping him scoring goals. Jose Altidore has the worst premiership strike ratio of 2/70 and accumulated £14m of transfer fees along the way

Jose Altidore has the worst premiership strike ratio of 2/70 and accumulated £14m of transfer fees along the way I think that people gave Nichols bucket loads of encouragement for well over a year, but it's now obvious to everybody that he isn't even trying, based on that supporters are entitled to vent their frustration. As an example, when he's supposed to be chasing down keepers who are clearing the ball he absolutely never sprints towards them, he jogs. Also, I've lost count of the number of times that he's literally stood still and allowed a team mate to run 20 yards past him to close down an opponent. He's let himself down badly during his time here. You would need to ask him why he isn't motivated here, but he's clearly not.

300k, one of the highest earners at the club, 3 goals in 90 appearences what's not to like? It's actually 3 from 88. It's a Tom Nichols celebration in our house today. Party time. Bunting and flags are up. Happy anniversary first goal for Bristol Rovers Tom!!! It's one that will live long in the memory. An assist from Ed Upson whilst he was still at Franchise FC. A lifeless and lazy Tom Nichols couldn't be bothered to jog back on-side and was found by Upson's attempted header back to the keeper. A startled Tom mis-kicked it into the corner as the perplexed keeper looked for an off-side flag. Since that momentous day the floodgates have opened and our very own goal machine has hammered home an unbelievable two goals in the last 2 years (one a penalty, he's missed another two). He is unstoppable. Deadly finisher in a one on one. Can shoot from distance with devastating effect. Brave in the tackle. Fantastic in the air, what a fine header of the ball. Never stops running and tracking back. Comes off the pitch battered, bloody and bruised. He really is the complete professional. Please Tom - find another Club. I would recommend an after-school hair-dressing Club. (The sarcasm presented here is on a football forum and is not relayed during the 90 minutes or so Tom is on the pitch attempting to score "a goal". On match days I just roll my eyes on mutter "FFS not again").
