Rovers Trust is supported by BRSC on many ventures that may explain it ? All an irrelevance dear Michael. Ken is an director of Bristol Rovers Football Club elected by the supporters of BRSC to represent ALL fans interests. Anything else is totally superfluous. David Brain got that, the great Kim Stuckey got that. Why is it so hard for you to get that? I think that to be fair to Mike, he's trying to see the connection. Our Community Trust is up for some kind of award along with Championship clubs I think, so it's doing well, but I don't know what, if anything, that has to do with Ken. If he's helped with that then fair play to the bloke, but as you rightly say, and as I've been asking, where's the link between the Share Scheme Directorship and the Community Trust?

Why do we only have one supporters club representative on the board of BRFC 1883 ltd when there is a legal agreement in place to have two? Also, why doesn't the one that is in place ever communicate with the membership of the SC? I don't suppose Ken's position is up for re-election? Or if it were, are there any challengers?

The Share Scheme is a bust flush. Nobody with any credibility, or any self awareness for that matter, would put themselves forward at the moment.

He should be praised for his contribution would you do it why don't you understand

I think the point is, what has that got to do with being the fans representative on the board

He should be praised for his contribution would you do it why don't you understand You are doing it again Mike, not actually reading what people are saying, just writing disjointed replies that don't actually answer the question. Let's try again. My question is, if Ken's particular interest is community stuff then that's great, so why doesn't he just concentrate on that, why does he keep putting himself up for the position of Supporters' Representative rather than invest his time into what appears to be his area of expertise? Don't think that's a fair assessment? I have evidence Here you go, Ken's report to the AGM; bristolroverssc.co.uk/director-ken-masters-report-to-our-agm-2/3 paragraphs for introduction and covering Share Scheme income etc. 1 Paragraph waffling on with some nebulous gumph about him being committed to a new stadium. Well, that'll get any new development across the line then. I swear, this bloke is a bit simple. Then 7 paragraphs about what he's actually interested in, the Community Dept. Then 3 paragraphs of closing waffle. Great to hear though that he's using the same time machine that serves him so well when he's going back to the 1970s to buy his track suits to be able to pop forward to 2108 and check the Share Scheme's finances. The final point would be, if we have paid 1.2 million quid for the position that he holds then we are perfectly entitled to question his performance in that role. Asking how well he's doing isn't predicated by the necessity to stand for the position yourself.

Also, why doesn't the one that is in place ever communicate with the membership of the SC? Ken appears to confirm here that the legal agreement is unchanged, so as you say, the owners demand that we only have a single representative at board meetings could cause a problem. I honestly don't know what would happen if we elected a second Share Scheme Director and the owners prevented that person from discharging their responsibilities? bristolroverssc.co.uk/director-ken-masters-report-to-our-agm-2/

To quote Ken see below Lets hope that resolves the matter now. Apparently there were only 20 members in attendance last evening and the Football Club did not put forward anyone to answer any questions potentially posed by the members !
My work in a dedicated area remains as before. I am pleased and privileged to serve as Chairman of Trustees of the Bristol Rovers.
Community Trust; it is a time consuming yet satisfying role. The progress that we have made and the good work that we have delivered in our community has again not gone without notice and recognition. I am delighted for all concerned that following on with the Bristol Life Charity of the Year award for 2018, the Trust was awarded for its work by the Gloucestershire County Football Association, 2019. The Trust was further shortlisted for the Bristol Diversity Awards. I take this opportunity to thank the Trustees, Management and Staff of the Trust for their support, commitment and work over the year.
The Work of the Community Trust continues to develop and grow. Inclusivity and widening participation remain the principles that steer and drive our work. The Trust operation is entirely independent, self- governing, self-managing and self- financing. Raising funds is an on- going process. The Trust is not for profit but financial controls and financial viability is paramount. The yearly accounts are being prepared for the auditors and will again show an operating surplus above budget forecasts. The financial position shows an adequate sum set aside as a reserve and in addition an unrestricted accumulation of cash at the Bank is shown deposited. Trustees are satisfied that these positions gives the Trust scope to support new and locally devised initiatives over the coming year and beyond.

In the interests of the Share Scheme and the Community Dept, he should concentrate on the area that he's actually interested in. Unless of course, he has some other personal reason for wanting to hold the title of Director of a football club?

Unless,of course,he wants to stand down but no one is prepared to take the fans directorship over Nothing stopping him from standing down and leaving the position vacant. The SC would then call an election and we would find out if any candidates came forward. But he hasn't said that, so it's obviously not the case, and he certainly didn't put that forward as his pitch last time he wanted to be elected.

from the other place...
But what does he do to warrant his fans director roll?
By his own admission - little or nothing since all decisions are now taken by the CEO of the FC and board meetings are rarely held any more. He continues in the role because that's part of the deal with the Share Scheme, so it's a legal requirement. I understand it was agreed we would only have one SC director in the FC after the takeover, but might be wrong on that front!
Ken was very open about his role at the AGM last night - it's fair to say he is not a fan of the CEO!

Ken doesn't think that it's agreed that we only have 1 Director, you can check via the link above, that the legal agreement is unchanged. This is classic Ken. If he had an ounce of self respect he would have written to everybody still paying in to the scheme, explained that he's not able to represent them to the board or access board meetings to be able to report what's happening to supporters, or in any way influence the way in which the club is run, and ask them if they wish to continue paying in to the scheme. Shameless. Sat behind that, you have to wonder what the SC are doing, allowing this to continue.

Ken probably spends something like 20 hours a week on Rovers business and he has his own paid senior season ticket so you must retract your statement please/
