With Bury thrown out the league, we have arrived at the first of two game-free weekends. It’s a really strange feeling at this early stage not to have a game and I’ll miss my Sunday morning (NZ Time) routine of avoiding the Rovers result and opening up the matchday thread on here to re-live the game ‘live’ as it were. In its place will be an analysis of the other results from League One and the impact that will have on our league position. It’s refreshing that this means looking at the teams in the top half of the league and that’s a testament to what GC has achieved with this group of players. Looking at the fixtures I reckon the perfect set of results for the games that could impact/help us would be: Accrington vs Oxford Utd -Home WinDoncaster vs Portsmouth –Away WinFleetwood vs Ipswich -DrawLincoln City vs Sunderland –Home WinRotherham vs Coventry –Home WinTranmere vs Shrewsbury –Home WinWycombe vs Peterborough -DrawWith my record on predictions, I would strongly advise you head down to Ladbrokes ASAP and put your money on the exact opposite of the above. Another part of my routine is to take a quick look at the other lot’s result and see if I can eke out a modicum of juvenile pleasure at their expense. That’s not been working out too well recently but still… COM’ON READING! Anyway Gasheads, I hope you all make the most of the free weekend and have a great day. COYB (next week)

Jeff, I was similar to you, followed the updates and kept checking results and matchday threads, from this year I tried ifollow and was pleasantly surprised, the streamng is very good and for a fiver it is very reasonable, I also understand that 3 of the 5 go to Rovers directly, I just pick and choose which games to watch, time difference may be an issue for you though.

Time difference is a major issue for me TG. As much as I love em, getting up at 3:00am every Sunday morning to watch the Rovers is a step too far. (Cue "your not a real supporter then" comments). I have a good mate who is a mad keen Ipswich supporter so we're doing the home and away thing and watching those games via Ifollow at our respective houses. Should be interesting. I was close with the predictions. Overall not a bad set of results for us.
