Im no coughlan fan but if he changed the formation after the red card and we drew we would have the same thread about "why change the formation". Why worry about the poxy formation v 10 men? Just pass the ball to each other and wear your opponents down with any formation.

What was his latest outburst about, something to do with us needing to leave the EU so that foreigners stop telling us how to run ''our'' game. Anyway, don't we have any admin on here any more?

That 'Ronney Special' Johnson Clarke Harris goal should have been the match winner. The Referee who up to the penalty incident had ignored, and rightly so, half a dozen 'dives' including ironically a couple from JCH. However Referee Hair, who had a perfect view decided that the Stanley player dramatics which would have won gold in the Olympics Diving was deemed a Penalty offence. We dropped two points , not because of GC tactics but because of a very poor call by the referee - end off! UTG

I worry for GC. He is a genuine bloke but seems to be pleading for the players. I think he is trying to convince himself they are ‘ a great bunch of lads’.

Is anyone actually regulating this forum?? 🙄 I think that sometimes you need to leave such comments to view. I may not like the way we are playing and that JCH is carrying us but who got him here ? I think it’s disrespectful but each to their own. I’m more concerned with the attendances and the haemorrhaging of people coming to games and it’s not got cold & wet yet.

Just one error, a poor bit of decision making. Happens. Maybe changed the course of the game. Doesn't however make me want to crucify the guy.

I didn't mean you had, rather in a wider sense that at the moment any of our players gets undue excessive criticism for any mistakes. We're all very down and disappointed at the moment but I feel it gets out of all proportion at times.

I can still see progress and positives from this group, I feel Nichols had a goal in him yesterday and Bennett is mugging us off with the money he is on. We've got a few injuries due to come back so should hopefully benefit from a week with no midweek game. UTG

Just pass the ball to each other and wear your opponents down with any formation. If ever there was an opportunity Saturday was the opportunity to demonstrate any tactical nous (or not). 50 minutes and against 10 men, playing a team with a couple of dangerous players only. We huff and puff, at last we are making a change. Clearly bring off a CB, go to a back four if still wanting to keep it toght, push Rodman wide, push Bennett on the other wing and attack to win the game. Not gung ho, I get that. Keeping the back 5 and the two defensive midfielders was an effing disgrace. I haven't been a fan of GC, but I'm sorry coming out of that game with just 1 point, and it looked like only one winner and it wasn't us; I am now sure we have a guy that is afraid to lose. Not the football to take us anywhere. I am loyal and always call for steady influence careful what you wish for and all that, but for me I've seen enough.
