Good morning fellow Gasheads. 1:00pm here which is 2:00am BST so apart from a few Friday night session late-nighters, I'm assuming you're all safely tucked up in bed.
I'd love to be at the Mem in-person today if only to see the warm welcome The Snake will receive. I'm in the "give him hell" camp so those of a similar ilk, please make me proud.
I've only seen the highlights from the Tranmere game but from that JCH seems to be well on the road to full fitness so let's hope he can get a couple because The Snake is sure to get one. That seems to be a universal law when ex-players return to the Mem.
To me, this game seems to have all the hallmarks of a draw which given our current form wouldn't be too much of a disaster.
I'm going for 1-1 but hoping for better.
EDIT: Let's also make it a memorable mark of respect for Junior Agogo. RIP

The relegation picture seems to be clouded over. We know points won or dropped now make a difference end of season, but with bury, Bolton in trouble and tranmere and Southend no better than us at the moment, we may not be in as much trouble this year as normal years. Lincoln will likely be a tougher match than oxford today, as Lincoln are on a roll from last season and have the machine settled, Oxford have recruited fine component parts for their machine, but today the assembly of it and the gear mechanism is not quite settled.
I feel quite optimistic about getting something from this match today.
Snake has a hot head, sun stroke won’t help that. He could chase someone who just fouled him (Clarke) for his first yellow, and booked for diving for his second.
Always a pleasure to get one over on the gobs***e Karl Robinson! Also, glad it turned out to be a damp squib of an afternoon for our former striker. And, of course, Nichols on the scoresheet. Get in!!! COYB
