"nite?" FFS! It would be interesting if someone really takes the Board to task over the latest accounts and lack of any coherent strategy. I'm not holding my breath though.

How odd. Unless I am mistaken, there is no mention of the AGM on the official web-site. There is certainly nothing in latest news. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/fans/supporters-club/ "Annual General Meeting The meeting will normally be held in October each year". Poor communication? Bristol Rovers? It's bollocks isn't it.

Not sure why the club would highlight the AGM on the website it's for shareholders. As long as they are notified....

Because traditionally the club has? But then again, there's also a tradition of people getting confused at these meetings and forgetting to vote for their own proposals

Running a story saying the AGM is x date but only shareholders can attend is a bit pointless really isn't it

Oh God, it's all just so bleak and pointless, life is just a dark chasm of despair. I thought I was frigging miserable, looks like there's serious competition! If that's how it is then why bother kicking a football around a pitch for 90 minutes, may as well knock that in the head as well.

When things do go belly up at Rovers, and I believe they will in the next three years, there will be no ‘Phoenix Club’ rising from the ashes, as not a single soul has either the time or the inclination to do anything about it.

I disagree,I think that there will be at least one 'phoenix' club as there is a financial incentive to form one. When Rovers fold a lot of the support will stop going to watch games anywhere, some will go further afield like WBA,Southampton, maybe Bath or Yeovil and a very few to city. There would be at least a thousand who would watch an AFC Rovers team play in any non league football, some small club with a pitch would rename their second team and make a lot of money.

1. Are you saying only shareholders would be interested in the agenda, who attends and the outcome of the AGM? I'm not a shareholder, and I am interested. 2. This all goes back to communication. Which our Club is bollocks at. We keep telling them to do better. They say they will. Then they don't. It's not moaning for the sake of moaning. It would be great if our Club behaved in a more professional manner. Given the amount of senior hires we have on the pay-roll, it's just crap.

I've asked members of the Board for answers to questions. To be fair they always respond. Sadly they never answer my questions directly. So you think things are going belly up at Rovers? Not disagreeing with you there father. OK so far. But you would rather say nothing and let the Club slowly die than at least try and make the Board accountable for their (in)actions? Your last point is just plain negative. Which is something you're happy to accuse others of. Hey ho.

I agree, we are in dangerous time for the club. Once the debt exceeds the value of the only asset, unless there's a stadium regeneration or new stadium plan, or someone who is happy to lose a packet to keep us afloat, we could be in serious trouble. 2 reasons for not going to an AGM; 1. I'm not a share holder. 2. Both you and I could write the replies to any questions we could ask before they had even started to form in Wael or Hamer's minds.

I am saying what is the point in promoting an event people cannot attend.
That said have The Supporters Club/Share Scheme members been canvassed for any are any questions they would like asked on their behalf

It's not about 'promoting' the event, because as you rightly say - only shareholders can attend. It is about COMMUNICATING to the wider fan-base that the AGM is happening and that we might just have some of our very serious concerns addressed. If you were head of communications at BRFC - are you saying you would try and pretend there wasn't an AGM happening?

Is there any news to tell and is it worth the aggro it will probably cause.
That said, I refer you to my second point. What have The SC done regarding the AGM for the benefit of their members/shareholders?
Ia ssume the SC have zero concerns as they don't appear to have mentioned anything

So... you would try and 'bury' the AGM and pretend it wasn't happening because some awkward questions might be asked. Crazy Steve and Invisible Starnes might have a job for you. One of the major failings of our Club is the lack of communication - and you seem to be condoning that. I can't really comment on the SC. They do some great voluntary work to keep the Club functioning, but are powerless. Maybe Dwane Sports are happy to keep it that way. A new or reformed SC, or at least one with some younger blood in it - seems to be what people are asking for. But my understanding is it is something of a closed shop.

Any awkward questions would come from shareholders who would/should be informed of the AGM. Not sure what communicating an event to people who arent allowed to attend or do anything with is supposed to acheive. Its here but you cant come is a s**t story As for the SC as reprensatives of the Share scheme members, you would think they might court opinion on the club goings on
