What I'm looking for is a gross income figure, we can then easily work out what the remaining 3% is and compare that to other expenditure. I'm intrigued by this thing of spending 97% of income on wages across the organisation. Our gross income must be massive if 3% of it covers all of the other stuff relating to running the club. The total gross income was 5 815 958 made up of football receipts 3 498 684 and other receipts 2 317 274 The player and staff costs were 5 630 209 But surely "staff costs" includes the wages paid to DC & MS plus all the other first team, Development & Academy coaches plus the likes of TG and all the ticket office, bar staff and match day stewards, 97% of income may go on staff costs but that's different than player costs which must be a maximum of 55% of our turnover to meet SCMP rules. Although it's Wael's decision to recruit so many Academy coaches and set up the Development Squad, neither of which were a priority until we get the new ground sorted. If we want to save money then surely closing the London office would be the first move any of us would take.

Take it away and you are still left at -£2.8m. As to the other point, this is one of the reasons I'm banging on about this, Anagram Bloke is usually painfully accurate with what he says, here's what he wrote a couple of days back; Either John got that wrong, but his attention to detail is usually superb, or Wael either made a mistake or has incorrect information.

And this is the exact point I was getting to. Wael was making a 'non-point'. It didn't matter if he was saying that the 96~97% was just player wages or if it was for all staff costs, if he even knew, it's a huge distraction from the fact that the losses are enormous. That's what I would like to hear him addressing. Wael seems to have a hold on many fans who continue to have faith in him even though, as far as I can see, he has said or done absolutely nothing to justify it. Yes but stuff is happening in the background, so we should all just have blind faith in the man...

The posh are very money savvy unlike us. They have Barry Fry as DOF.
