Not a bad first half. Barnsley are a good side and you can see why they are going up but Rovers playing reasonably well.
Hopefully we can take advantage of the extra man.

If we can get them down to 9 men - we could be in with a shout :-)

So, we finish 15th. That's mid-table. 4 points and 21 goal differences above the drop

Didn't see that win coming. Excellent stuff. Pleased to be proved wrong today. Been biting my nails on behalf of Sarfend / Janners this evening. Bye bye 'muff and hello (yet again) to Roots Hall. Unbelievable Jeff.

I'm in Crickhowell, South Wales attending my sons wedding. Gutted I won't be attending at least one Gas game while I'm in the UK. Ah well, here's hoping that next season is so good I'll be compelled to pay another visit. I only hope we make it a good competitive game but can't see anything other than a win for Barnsley. COYB. I hope your day went well. You must come over from NZ again, not make a Rovers game, and we can claim another 3 points. UTG UTG UTG UTG UTG UTG

Just got back..
So.....how does it feel to get do much wrong today? Bloody brilliant!
Don't think we deserved to win today, but will take everything you can.
Players turned up! Rodman (in a Delia Smith esque), where were you? You turned up today!
We won without Nichols or JCH , what stat does that mean?
Again we play last home game teams promoted...we won for a change....how does that work out!??
No Bonham. Happy with a keeper that hasn't included Bonham in last season? Smith was ok today.
Atmosphere? Yep, they came to party, fair play to them. We shut them up at the end.
Referees? Crappiest all year, we get a half decent one today. It stands out when we get a strong ref and got the major decisions correct..
Linesy. He's one of our own. Thanks for the amazing service he's given, as well as Locks....both appear to be moving on, good luck with that.
Rover's grit and determination got us over the line again. Barnsley were far superior in physical presence and passing movement, but we beat then because of our perseverance and heart. That's what it means to be a GasHead, that's what it takes, that is what we are... well done everyone and hope to see you next season if you still fancy it.

Rammed with northern twats on the waterfront. Long walk to mem from there. Could have our work cut out trying to outsing them, didn't think they could afford city centre prices. Having said that when I was there a lot of them did suffer nosebleeds after being told the price of a pint. Let's make this a good day on and off the pitch after such tepid football. Oh Kegan, what am I going to do with you?

We were composed organised and confident enough before the sending off, but the red card changed the game and result.
Not sure we shut them up, at the end, they were partying before during and after our winner as though it didn’t happen, I guess they were aware Luton were three one up.
How did muff manage to get them selves back into the mess?
49 would have relegated us. It’s not just those hard fought and deserved points we snaffled throughout the season, it’s also those we came away saying what a crap game what a let down that draw. Burton Salop Oxford muff

Not going today. Not really bothered about iFollow (if available). An utterly forgettable season barring some flashes of brilliance from J C-H. In fact without the last gasp J C-H winner against Bradford - right now I would be feeling physically sick at the prospect of relegation. Last home game of a season - against Champions/potential Champions was Norwich I think. We lost 0-3 and I my head says a similar result today. I remember we sportingly applauded Norwich and I hope the Gas show the same respect today. UTG! Hi fella, i agree about not being particularly bothered but the atmosphere was the best i have heard all season and i am nursing a thick head because the 17:30 kick off had me there earlier than I should have and drinking a fair bit more than I should. I think you and your son are absolute stars in coming as far as you do anyway. I’ve never been keen on dead rubber games but it turned out to be a good day and, unless I’ve not heard about it, the Barnsley fans were just fine. The ones I met and talked with, were in buoyant mood and were sound. Have a great summer my friend and now you can relax and not have to drive the miles you were.

What’s Barnsley’s unofficial nick name, do we have to call them Barnsley? "Tykes" is their nickname. Don't know about unofficial. Did you see the flag with the Kestrel on it and KES in big lettering on it ? Maybe they use that but I am just guessing. The book that the film was based upon was written by a Barnsley born author. They could be kesheads 😉

if they aren't they should start - it's a good 'un I have always been interested in bird watching but especially what they now call the raptors, we called them birds of prey. The film has me tearing up each time I have seen it. Yes, kesheads does have a good ring to it and thanks but maybe they already use it and I could be maybe and subconsciously using it from hearing it before. I’ve done this several times and thought I had made up something original only to find that it was something that was just subconsciously already heard.

Well remembered yes it was 1 May 2010 in League One and Norwich City did the double over us 5-1 away and 3-0 that final match of season at the Mem which secured the title.
Since then we have left the league for a season come back with two consecutive promotions and are amid table League One Club. Meanwhile Norwich City have enjoyed four seasons in the premier league five in Championship and next season back for another top flight season.
Where did it all go so right for them and so wrong for Rovers ?

They have Deliah Smith, if we had her we'd be cooking on Gas. I'll get my coat.
