Thankfully that's over.
Does anyone have any positive thoughts for next season please, because if what we have to offer is the most negative manager since Atkins, a striker who scores loads then stops and no sign of progress, we're goosed.
Thank goodness for our back 5, Tareiq, Ollie,JCH and on occasion, Liam Sercombe and Nichols' support work. That's not enough to make any discernible attempt at the play offs and is only just enough to stay up.
Don't get me started on Linesy and not being played.
I'm by nature an optimist, but this season has been woeful. Anyone fancy giving some reasons to look forward to next season?

Thankfully that's over. Does anyone have any positive thoughts for next season please? I remember seeing Ollie's impressive Rovers side at Wigan in the September of the 1999/2000 season, our first appearance at the new Wigan ground. We played with Lee Jones in goal and a solid, defensive back eight (*). Jason Roberts and Jamie Cureton provided all the attacking potency we needed, on the counter-attack. We just need to find the 2019/2020 version of Roberts and Cureton. (*) Pritchard/Tillson/Foster/Challis; Thompson/Mauge/Hillier. P.S. We lost 3-1! But that's not the point; it was a very effective set-up, based on a robust defensive unit (not unlike the one GC has fashioned) and until March of that season we were certs for the Title...

Positives.
If your base line is staying in this division, I think we've got the management team to ensure that.
It's the first time this century I can be confident in saying that.
Players and management will come and go, but the club should be in this division at the very least, so whether we end up 7th or 20th I see it as job done.

Eastville for entertainment.... Do not want relegation but next season want to turn up thinking we may win well. All about going in with hope and expectation of excitement. Not convinced those days will be back next season.

GC did the job he was brought in to do, lets not forget we have had 18 clean sheets this season. GC signed Agogo and J. C-H and without them I think we would have gone down. Can we do more than struggle again next season? Well a lot depends on who comes and who leaves in the summer. We need more pace in the side, and a striker who can fit in with J. C-H

I would hope that the clubās ambition would lie a bit higher than to be another Wycombe, albeit without the blatant cheating! Massive summer coming up for me, would be nice to have a little hope and optimism come next August.

I'm by nature an optimist, but this season has been woeful. Anyone fancy giving some reasons to look forward to next season? Like you Doc I am an optimist, naturally. At the beginning of this season I was convinced we were well placed to challenge the top end, and felt play off was minimum. DC obviously had his energies and mindset disrupted by lots of other stuff.
For next season, I can not really see anything to look forward to. Maybe removing the expectation of a new ground (lets start and build a better East Stand) and live with an improved Mem bit by bit. Galvanise again as a club that doesn't have the money to invest in a shiny big stadium in the back end of nowhere, but does give its amazing supporters a slightly better match day experience. We have a handful of very good players, and a fair few that could be passed on. Add 5-6 new faces, allow a couple of young'uns through and I am sorry to say, GC whilst has done his job, lets hope he also has foresight without the pressure to provide slightly more sparkling football. At least Saturday will be a great day, playing against a team with all the nerves and expectations of potential champions, we can spoil their party but the best thing of all, it doesn't actually matter.

Points deducted for administration? This could be serious. We probably have more administrators than The Pentagonā¦

It's not rocket science. The likes of Liverpool and Man City aren't where they are purely through having lots of lolly, but having more than one player who scores regularly. I know the PL is a different planet, but it's comparable to all leagues in that respect. If you don't score enough you struggle. Our team this season has been totally lacking in the final third and been stuffed full of defensive midfielders. The only creative midfielders have been left out, shipped out on loan or played out of position. Listening to GC's post-match interview, he asks for a bit of patience in the build-up to next season so I guess we'll have to wait and see if he adopts a more adventurous approach. He should stop taking a jab at what he calls "keyboard warriors" though. Some of us have been watching Rovers since before Liverpool got promoted to the top flight and have earned the right to our opinion.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy watching them play, but Ian Atkins could challenge for the PL title if he was allowed to invest, what is it, Ā£1.5 billion and counting? Take that money away and what's left? Man City are just another big City club, no different to any other, similar to Villa, Spurs, Everton. The day that someone works out how to properly enforce FFP rules the whole Citeh thing will fold in the blink of an eye.

Well, we keep employing them, admittedly we never hear of them again, but we keep employing them. There's an office somewhere with a team of stadium building experts locked away in it.
