How sweet, a thread all of my own. There have always been offers attached to season tickets. What's the point here please? BTW, they have multiple email addresses for me, I never receive anything. For what it's worth, grammatically that's a mess as well. This stuff is supposed to be organised professionally. We look like a dominoes club who have had a whip round to buy a ream of paper and have begged the use of a photocopier at the local library. Edit. Just noticed. They've used a picture of kit with the Mintbet brand on it. Ummmm…. Why? We all know the problems that caused, and they've just a tiny little bit ceased trading. Attention to detail isn't what Gorringe is good at, is it.

As said, as you get no mail, if you renew you can politely ask that your current one is correct on their system.

Thanks for the tip, but I know that Gorringe has my email address, he's just not organised enough to do his job. I know it's a stuck record, and I'm sorry about that, but I want the best for my club, this bloke's a walking disaster area, just look at the use of a Mintbet shirt. Attention to detail is everything in his job.

I'll be here long after he's gone. The point really is that I know several people who were unaware of the deadline for buying season tickets for this season. Now, if Gorringe is waging personal vendettas against all of those people and refusing to communicate with them I would be more than a little surprised, in fact it's an outrageous proposition. It's just another cock up, not conspiracy, although the later, whilst unacceptable, would at least mean that the farce didn't speak to his competence

I'm intrigued by 'Invitations to Fans Forums' (note the plural). What be they?

I struggle to see how the Mintbet logo on a shirt shows a lack of attention to detail. The replica shirts are sold with the logo, it is only the match shirts and kids shirts that dont have them, so a picture of a fan in the terraces is more than likely going to have the Mintbet logo front and center.

OK then. We'll have to agree to disagree. I think that putting the name of a company that we made a mistake in entering into that contract with on promotional material, especially as they are no longer trading, is poor. But their logo was only on the rear of the shirt wasn't it, so why would it be on the front of kit? Here you go. Details of sponsorship. That piece says that their logo will be on the rear of replica kit as well. I'm confused now. Unless you are talking about taking pictures of the rear of supporters who are stood on terraces?

Well, seeing as the picture in question shows the back of the supporter i would have thought that it was fairly obvious that by ‘front and center’ i meant in the picture, not on the actual shirt. However, I suspect that you are just trying to be funny or pedantic in order to score points in some forum based game you play in your head, which while i may think is somewhat childish it is your perogative and hey, everyone needs a hobby. On the other hand, if you had truly failed to understand what i was trying to say in my previous message i can only appologise for the above remark and do so whole heartedly.

No attempt at humour, no attempt at anything, other than pointing out the obvious, namely that, as stated twice previously, there's no mileage in promoting a company that no longer trades, I can't understand why we would use that image, especially as an agreement was entered into with the company, whilst it was still trading, that the advert would be replaced. I would have thought that our commercial department would have wanted to promote an active brand. You may think it childish, I'm sorry you view it that way, but what I'm interested in is the club being run professionally. Continued apologetics and making excuses for poor performance won't get us closer to that goal.

I think it more likely that we still haven't caught up with rationalising various databases scattered around the club. It could be done in a couple of hours. I know this stuff is outdated in terms of marketing now, but it's still a good base for communication.

I can’t recall any even mid term professionalism off the pitch since leaving Eastville for starters.

But when Tom arrived I thought we were heading in the right direction. I guess my frustration is that, after so many mistakes, some big, many smaller, such as using the Mintbet logo when we could and in my opinion should have been promoting one of our active commercial partners, Tom doesn't seem to improve. Is he better than what we had? Yes, he is. Is he wasting opportunities? Yes, he is. As I've said all along, he's probably a great bloke, but I just want someone better at the job or for him to up his game.

I'm bored of this, a bit, as this is on other thread, but again for anyone whom missed it.....which has been multiple asked, and never answered....whom in the club's history has brought more money into the club in form of sponsorship, advertising and enhancing the club's profile by media and events? Answers please this time, instead of allowing thread to anchor? So. Apart from more monies coming in through front of shirt sponsorship in our history. Thatchers extension of advertising across the whole end increasing revenues. Both Butcombe and Thatchers sponsorship of redevelopment of bars (does anyone complain and prefer old format?). Macron paying for club shop redevelopment. End of season dinner event the envy of every sporting club in Bristol. x2 as they're doing it again this season. Plus tg meets and I know from first hand experience, so even you Bambi can meet him as he'll be willing to meet you, to talk about anything on your agenda? Apart from that and much more... What has TG ever done for us?

Please see my previous comments acknowledging that he is better than the guy who did the job before him, but still error prone and I want better for Rovers. Anyway, can we be clear please, are you bored of the subject or do you want me to explain, again, why attention to detail matters and how important it is to at least try to maximise the return potential on all budgets you have to work with? I'll just add one bit, for now, who in our history has ever signed us up with a shirt sponsor that we had to go back to and apologise to and say that we couldn't honour the contract? If I've said anything about Tom that's incorrect or untrue please point me towards it, I'll be happy to retract and apologise.

To put it simply, I think you brush over the pounds and concentrate on the penny. A very wide and general metaphor. Pay notice to the plurals and lack plurals carefully placed within said metaphor ...but I am not here to change opinion, just offer a different perspective that you didn't go into detail enough for my own personal liking. Hey, we're all different. You say you'll be there after TG goes on to brighter and better things....cool..... what's not to like?

Hey, we're all different. You say you'll be there after TG goes on to brighter and better things....cool..... what's not to like? Not super keen on metaphors, but as you started it, this is Tom's world; He's a flighty young estate agent who messes up the sale of a house in a soft market and gets you £300k instead of the potential £310k you may have achieved had he paid attention to detail. You are the happy seller who thinks he's brilliant because your last estate agent wasn't an estate agent at all and didn't sell your house, he came from a different industry altogether and, in truth, was a bit rubbish at the job. but he was a great guy. I'm the unhappy seller, frustrated because Tom insists that I pay for his ''professional'' services, but he's just cost me £10,000. Here's a real world example of what I'm talking about. Don't you think that when he's negotiating renewals with a client, the conversation would be just a tiny bit smoother if he could produce the season ticket benefits email, say that all databases are rationalised and every single ticket holder has that email, and oh look, there's your brand, placed in front of the supporters' faces, not sure why I did that, I was just thinking of you when making up that promotional email, no, of course there's no charge, happy to do that for you. But no, he used Mintbet, who are no longer trading. That's brain dead. You say it's counting pennies, I say small leaks sink big ships and attention to detail is everything.
