Blackpool beat Accrington 2-1.
Keeps Stanley as another club in touching distance, still only 4 points above and same number of games.

Sky Sports pundit making kb seem like a broadcasting genius Very biased towards Sunderland. I actually thought the commentary was surprisingly complimentary of us until Sunderland went 2 up at which point they started waxing lyrical about a massive's club's day out at Wembley which you can't really blame them for as the game was dying a death from then on and they needed some kind of hook to keep interest. At one stage in the first half Lee Hendrie was banging on about Stuart Sinclair's 'outstanding qualty on the ball' which is not something I ever thought I would hear from a neutral pundit. Nichols also came in for strong praise for his first half performance as did the atmosphere created by the fans. I actually thought we had a fairer hearing than I was expecting given that the Sunderland fallen giant narrative was clearly going to be the more attractive way to go.

Fine, fair do, but the "fallen giants", "deserved Championship league place", "£millions pound players and high players' budget" (which is true, but over-stressed), "fans' trip to Wembley" blah blah blah was overdone to me, though we did get the occasional bits of praise. The homework on Rovers was also superficial. I try to ignore commentators, particularly the likes of both Nevilles and Owen, I suppose I noticed the commentary more as I usually watch Sky in the pub, not at home, where you cannot make out the drivel. Anyway the game's come and gone, we were not disgraced, we did not get some decisions and Nichols' yellow was totally wrong, so we came out of the match good overall and the result was fair, but disappointing to us.

SKY didn't make enough of the smash in the face of JCH in the first half. Sunderland should have been down to 10 when the score was 0-0

And the presenters continual calling us “Bristol,” completely unforgivable from someone who is meant to know about football inside out. UTG!

...otherwise not too bad an evening: England won the cricket, the Lionesses won the SheBelieves Cup, Real Madrid get dumped out of the Champions League with at least one English team through, Accrington lose, Judd Trump won...
(Bit tribal-sorry)

Now that the fanbase is unified, not one of us will be watching Gas at wembley, we can return to the most important shirt term matter.... our 3rd division survival.
They're touting Harvey for a job in the fa... My oh my, it really is jobs for the boys.

Really enjoyed last night's game.
The best team won, but that was the most cohesive performance that I have seen all season at home. I missed Saturday.
H-D was a delight to watch. Great touch and left peg.
Upson actually got better as the game went on. Play him as defensive midfielder.
Sercombe in front of Nicholls and JCH is best use of his talents. He was always looking to create.
TN played well first half.
We looked balanced playing 4-3-1-2.
Sunderland's movement was superior to ours, but we never folded after going 2-0 down. McGeady was a class act, but their use of the ball from deep was Championship class.
I would play Lines instead of Clarke.
Spirit from team and crowd were excellent.
Sunderland are a big club with a terrific fan base. I wish them well and hope they go up.
