I didn't like O Clarke/Upson under DC. And I still don't. No creativity.

Not looking like scoring. Comfortable for Wycombe. 5 left. (radbris)

Sadly our club is mediocre all around. Little quality on the pitch and an embarrassment of a stadium with no news on the promised re-build or training ground.Mr Wael, we need new players especially some who can actually put the ball in the net and leadership before we disappear.Leadership sadly absent.

Payne, Matthews, Reilley are just not up to league football. Craigs legs have gone. Lockyear and James clarke were OK. Without Sercombe and Lines there is no creativity, (not that we have much with them).

That's as bad as anything I've ever seen.
No plan.
No pace.
No movement.
Undone by a park football goal.
Players had no idea what each other were doing.
Start with 2 holding midfielders, at home, against a team who are pretty poor themselves.
Did we actually scout them? Their right back is a liability, so we put him under no pressure whatsoever.
Absolutely amazed if we don't finish bottom based on that. Truly dreadful.

Nobody seems to mention the ref. I’ve never seen so many time our players get pushed in the back yet nothing, and the moment we brushed one of theirs he got his whistle out immediately.
Wycombe were a nasty, dirty, cheating side. Yes, we were awful but we deserved 0-0 as Wycombe were similarly awful.
I’ve never liked the club, a lot of their fans are dicks on twitter and this has just cemented that view.

Just back....
Hmmmm....... almost 9000 were treated to a match dedicated to scrappy defensive gamesmanship playing the ref usual Wycombe tactics.
We offered hardly anything going forward.
Conditions could not have been much better for mid January, pitch looks lush and fresh, just we didn't have the players to unlock a stubborn defence.
Poor, were pretty much everyone. James Clarke coped admirably my Gas m o m. Very little creativity. No height in attack, no movement when we have the ball, not enough pace in width to get crosses over.
We lack the leadership on the pitch, or the innovative movement of sercombe. No space in final third.
Wycombe I thought defended well. They got their first head in the ball, the first tackle in and usually claimed the second ball too.... so credit to them for that. What's not credible is gamesmanship of falling down with feigned broken leg to break down moves or slow the tempo, time wasting on 0-0 and every 50/50 challenge go down as if been fouled.....they knew what they were doing, and sometimes we were stupid enough to put ourselves in that position to allow the ref to take the easy option. Their number 2, and 3 hardly made a mistake, and although I thought their winner was a Bonham (40%)/ Lockyer (60%) mistake.... Bonham failed to claim a deep corner cross, Locks failed to keep up with his marker and run, but the fella took his goal well because he was more determined to get there than us.
We should be better than putting up with Wycombe games, but overall my main emotion leaving the Mem was thoroughly disappointed.
GC honeymoon period is definitely over.
Where was the previous 5 match spirit? On this showing, we're in trouble. We need pace and creativity in attack.
Anyways.....beer and pizza and a match to forget..

Stop blaming the officials for a performance that was lacking in creativity or ideas.if the players did their job what the officials did would be of no consequence.you are grasping at straws

I’ve seen the pattern emerge - do you have an issue with me? Would you like to resolve this in a grown up manner?

We wouldn't have beaten any professional football team today, we were dog dirt, but Toner was his usual hopeless self, totally unpredictable in some decisions and gave a foul against us literally every time one of their players fell over, even when one of them stood on the ball, that was a foul as well. He's a clown who played into their trap of making sure that the game was disjointed.

I was going to point that out but I’d rather get the real issue resolved rather than argue a pointless argument. I’d not argue the ref cost us the game, we were woeful but I don’t think Wycombe were worth 3 points. He was an awful, and easily fooled ref and Wycombe were better at playing ugly than us. I lost count of the number of times their players collapsed at an apparent sniper shot from the stands. That’s my only idea why because nobody touched them when they randomly went to ground.
