Stats v Accrington….Pld 11..W 2..D 1..L 8.
We have lost our last 7 meetings with them, so this is a great time to change those stats with our 5 game unbeaten run.

Our record there is unbelievably dire but there's good reason. They are normally a well organised unit who are extremely difficult to beat at home in what is probably the worst ground in the football league. Decidedly average facilities, freezing winds at the top of the hill and it's sloped. They leverage that to their advantage very well. Despite our record of abject failure I always enjoy my trip to Accy and I'm sorry that I can't make it this year.

We have a manager with a different approach now so I'm expecting that daft stat to be put to bed.

A few years ago their manager James Beattie forked out himself for new showers and an improvement to the changing rooms.

The next two games are quite important really, should be aiming for 6 points really. I'd snap your hand off for 4 now, we'll see.

My only visit was 2012/2013 season under Buckle, lost 2-1, Anyinsah had got one back for us & we saw Muzzy Carayol nearly cut in half by their full back. Probably the worst ‘tackle’ I’ve seen at a game (and there’s a few candidates) dude recieved a straight red I believe.

I saw our match in the 2006/2007 season which was so dire I booked our holidays after (convinced we were going to languish mid table) which turned out to be at the same time as the Play off final at Wembley and hence missed the ****ing game.... The other was the one under McGhee which was even worse and I remember a couple of the players giving it large with the fans after being booed off and chants of 'what a load of rubbish'. Only one of a handful of games I've been to where the fans really had a go at the players. Chester away under Atkins being one of the others.....

I've been a few times, it's a great day out.
Accy is a friendly place, we are warmly welcomed. It's in a nice part of town with a 10-15 min walk to centre for some pubs and take aways or about £3 taxi! Everything is so cheap!
Fair play to them, they're over-performing and making the most of their budget compared to us.
I saw the Muzzy gate match. I've also seen us lose some more! Especially when we had the whole of one side. Very unhappy hunting ground and we would do well to get anything up there.
I can't make it this weekend, such a shame, but safe journey all and cheer us on to hopefully another victory..

We had a loanee from Man City who hardly played but did score there his only contribution I think.Their ground is dreadful but a new stand on its way and they have purchased land next to their ground

Probably has the same effect as Twerton did all those years ago, lures teams in to the dreaded exposure of a superior complex..

Following wins at both Walsall and Oxford between Christmas and the New Year, Rovers have an opportunity to pick up a third win in a row on the road, which was last achieved in October 2015.

Anyone off to the Wham! Stadium tomorrow …
Don't Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go, I hope that our Young Guns (Go For It), are given the Freedom of the pitch, and make it a Fantastic day, raising the Rovers fans spirits to The Edge Of Heaven.

Not a loaded question, but has GC made the most successful league start to managerial career (including caretaker) in our history?

A quick look at soccerbase says so far he's on a par with GF in 2001/02. A point tomorrow beats him.
Edit: A win tomorrow beats Bill Dodgin 1969/70.
Can't be bothered looking at any others, but I'm sure there's someone on here who'll revel in giving a fuller answer ...

Ooh, the dreaded Mark McGhee - four wins and a draw. Equalling JW second time around. Conclusion? Too early to tell
