Mr Clough and his team are there to be beaten ? Their minds on Man City league cup semi final.
Is Ollie Clarke suspended after his booking at Oxford ? Will Wael mix with the crowd and wish everyone happy new year ? Will Tom Nichols start the New Year with a Hat trick ? Will our new January signing be announced to the crowd at half time ? Wil Payne be travelling to Bristol to suggest he wants to stay ? Will Holmes Dennis win man of the match once again ? Will Chewy and Bambi buy me a pasty and sausage roll at half time ?
All will be revealed by 5pm Enjoy cant wait for this game.

Narrow 1-0 win for The Gas.
Rodman to notch.

coming up to half-time, Brewers sounding dangerous and having the better of it
counter-attacking from both sides, Akins finding space and pace for them

HT 0-0
not many clear-cut chances. Defences better than attacks overall. Tired legs out there, 4th game in a short time

it sounds like it's all Rovers at the moment
Sercs came on for Reilly, who had worked hard to little effect with little service, a while back. Linesey on for Upson
Mayonnaise replaced Broadbean on the bench after the warm-up. Just re-arranging the larder, really

Two knackered sides, very little quality in the game. If any. Typical of a 4th game in 10 days.
Wasn’t exactly a ready made list of stand out performances, but how Locks got MOM is anyone’s guess?
Sercombe missed the match winning chance, absolutely on a plate for him. On his left peg, keeper already on his way down, just had to slot it.
Still, 10 from 12 over Christmas, could only dream of that walking away from the Stadium of Light 2 and a bit weeks ago. Just a shame Scunny & Bradford are on a bit of a march & making it tricky to pull away from the pack.
Also lovely to see James Corden & Oxford fully on the slide.

Just woke up alone on the terrace, must have nodded off after about 20 minutes.
Did anything happen?

I thought it was a solid display and i was encouraged that we looked the stronger and fitter team in the last 20 minutes. The team selection put continuity over creation with sinclair and martin playing ahead of more creative players which is understandable imo.

Best side at Mem since Pompey and Donny had a good defence they may keep Man City at bay for at least 15 mins. We missed Clarke and while Sincs runs around a lot he is not creative and while Rodman started brightly but Brewers showed their championship class at ball retention.

Good point for the Gas against decent opposition. I think we have enough quality to stay up. Happy New Year to all Gasheads. Even the ones I don't like. UTG.

Burton came for a point and got it. We tried to win the game but they defended very well.
Best chance was Jakubiak through from the half way line but he made the wrong decision.
I'd give Sinclair MOM for his tackling and reading the interceptions. Lockyer's distribution was terrible. Craig did well also.
They were there for the taking as they have a poor away record and have the semi final to avoid injury for but it was too tight for us today.
Time now to give him the job and get a striker signed and maybe a left sided midfielder as we lack balance at times.
